Okay, stay with the genre you picked, Don't ramdomly change the genre! But, my rule is that you can not change your genre after 3 chapters.
Dont just have a nice romance book and then for chapter 27-47 be 1D fanfic also having the characters from chapter 1-26 joining in. That's just not right. Make a new story for Gods sake!
It just really bothers me. And probably annoys almost everyone else too. But you can add new genres. Not just totally opposite genres though.
