“Yes I have.” I stated calmly.

“Okay, you have tomorrow off but make sure you’re here on time on Friday.” She said.

I nodded meekly to her response. I wore my jacket as I made my way out of Mary's office and out of the library. As soon as I was out the door I instantly felt happier, I walked down the steps with a smile on my face. I walked past busy shoppers and made my way to my favourite coffee shop, I walked into the small and cosy cafe. The smell of freshly made coffee hit my nose, making my stomach rumble loudly. I walked up to the counter and placed an order of White Coffee with a Blueberry Muffin. As soon as I got my order I walked over to a table next to the window and placed my coffee and muffin down onto the table as I took my seat on the sofa. I looked outside the window as I saw many different people walking up and down the street. A middle aged woman with a grey pencil skirt and roughed up white shirt, while her short blonde hair came out in different angles. I didn't know how, but I just noticed how stressed she looked as she walked by the window. I moved my gaze away from her to a young man who seemed to be animatedly chatting on the phone; however he caught my eye and gave me a cute smile. I looked away from the window feeling embarrassed that he caught me looking at him, so instead I focused on my coffee.

In the middle of enjoying my coffee, my mobile started to ring. I took my mobile out of my bag and answered the call.

“Hey Sally.”

“Hey Myra, guess what? I have been given a chance to write an article.” She shouted excitedly.

I moved the mobile away from my ear as a precaution so that I wouldn't go deaf, as soon as I knew she had calmed down, I put the mobile back to my ear.

“That's great, I'm so happy for you. So what's your first article about?”

“I have to do 700 words on women working life.”

“How boring, when are you going to start writing really exciting stuff?” I asked.

“Oh, I will soon.” She giggled. “Anyway I better go, I need to start researching my stuff.”

“Yeah, okay bye.”

I put my mobile away into my bag and got up to leave. I decided to go to the ladies first, so I made my way and stood in front of the mirror. My hair was tucked away nicely which I didn't like, but I had to look professional according to Mary. I took my hair grip out and let it fall down and I ruffled it up with my fingers to give my short hair some volume. Yep, that looks so much better now. I soon left the ladies and made my way to the door, but as soon as I reached the door, I heard someone call my name. I looked back to see one of my mother's neighbours. I waved at her at the same time that I moved forward to push the door to exit the café, however I didn't realize someone had pulled open the door from the other side. I pushed my body weight against the door, I thought it was closed, but instead I stumbled against whoever opened the door. I instantly felt strong, warm arms against my waist to steady me. I don't know why but I felt shivers at the contact of our bodies. I quickly pulled away from the strong warm arms, before I could look up; my mother's neighbour approached me. “Are you okay dear?” I turned towards her.
