On the page was written, "Jesus wept."
"This is the shortest single passage in the good book" Father Maxie spoke in his usual bellowing tone.

"However it's still just as retarded as the rest." Jason chuckled to himself, much to the dismay of his mother, and the entirety of his congregation who audibly gasped upon hearing the words escape his lips.
Before Jason knew it he was being scolded by his mother in the parking lot of the very church they were embarrassingly forced out of moments earlier.

"What in the good lord's name is wrong with you Jason!?" His mother screamed lividly. All the while trying desperately not to trip over her high heels, and keep up with the rebellious sixteen year old who was storming towards the car that he had been given for his birthday.

"You know what I said about acting out in church!" She cried as she fell to the ground upon tripping over a curb.

"And you know what I said about being a bitch." Jason said with his usual lack of emotion, as he opened the door to his rusty pick-up.

"Don't call me tha-" Her words was cut off by the loud slam of Jason's door. Jason began to drive and simply gave his mother a smirk as he sped away from the institution he so despised.
