When I was ready to go and was walking out to my living room to call Rowan, I seen the picture on the floor, I knelt down and picked it up smiling. I looked at it for a moment then walked slowly sitting on my couch my hand went to my mouth. No it can't be... He's... That's him... In the background of the picture stood the guy who tried to kill me on my eighteenth birthday. I started to cry as the flashback came to me all too suddenly.
It started out the best night I'd ever had I had everyone I loved with me except my boyfriend Camilo. Rowan told me to meet her at her job (She worked at Hooters) it was my favorite restaurant so without any complaints I did when I walked in it was packed full of my friends yelling 'Happy Birthday'. It was amazing Violet was there I hadn't seen her in a few months seeing how she'd been in Colorado. When I was walking to my car it happened, I'd seen something black cross my vision but Rowan had slipped me a few drinks I supposed I was a bit buzzed, when he came up behind me and put his hand over my mouth and a blade to my throat and started dragging me into the alley. I could feel the cold steel as it slowly edged in deeper to my throat. "Make any noise and it'll go all the way through you hear me?" He said I nodded and felt hot tears roll down my face I was shaking so hard I was making the knife go deeper. Then this guy came out of nowhere and decked him in the side of his face I used my mace on him when he had let go. My savior and I ran quickly as far from the hooded man as we could, he ran the opposite way. When we had stopped running I started crying and shaking vigorously holding my neck as blood covered it. The guy just held me he told me his name was Onyk I let him drive me home... I made him promise never to tell a single soul...
I took the picture out and went to my stove and lit it on fire the flames slowly crept up the side of the picture till it was nothing but ash I threw what was left in the trash. It'll stay my secret for as long as I live.

Alexander played his guitar so softly; almost like he was born for it. He was the only one who could keep me company at this hour. After everything that has happened that's all I could think about. It's all I would consume. I remembered as if it were yesterday. I walked to my house and like normal my parents were out of time which meant my little brothers were gone as well. My sister was home so I was excited to see her. When I got home I went to my room and dropped my bag on my floor. I walked out to the kitchen for a Dr. Pepper my favorite soda. It was quiet. Extremely quiet. "Jessie" I called and I heard a shuffle in the other room. I grabbed a knife and walked slowly towards the room. The door was cracked so I slowly opened it and before my eyes there was a hooded man above my sister with a knife covered in her blood. The only family member that knew me; truly knew me was lying bloodily on the ground in front of me gasping as blood dribbled to the floor from her slit throat. He got up and walked towards me. All I could do was stand there until he grabbed me and put me on the wall. I snapped out of it and stepped on his foot and stabbed his right thigh and ran for my life.
"Violet!" Alexander snapped me out of my trance.
"Zander!" I yelled back mockingly.
"Stop calling me that that's not my name! And do you think Stephanie will like it? Violet I think I have a keeper with this one. This girl is my everything!" He said so emotionally.
"Only a fool wouldn't love that song. Why are you still with her though? She's hurt you so much; she's no good for you. She’s cheated on you how many times now? Be like me. Fuck love! And fuck feelings! She's no good for you and you need better. What about that one girl with the hair?" I sounded so mean but he got hurt by her so many times and even I was getting tired of it. He could do so much better. I don't see why people fall in love it's pointless it's a rush that gets destroyed. I will never fall in love. Ever.
