I climbed out of the car, tired, cold and frustrated. I didn't bother looking at the house that stood in front of me. We had traveled for over twelve hours and all I wanted to do was sleep. I grabbed my suitcase and made my way towards the house. The door had been unlocked by my mom, so, I walked through the house, climbed the stairs and walked into what I had now picked as my room.
The colour of the walls were light grey; the furniture was pure white; it had a large window revealing a large garden that was placed in front of a forest. It was gorgeous. Happy with my choice, I dumped my suitcase in the middle of the room, deciding I would unpack my belongings the next day. Crawling underneath the duvet of the already-made-bed, I allowed my head to touch the pillow, my eyes drooping, allowing me to fall into a well needed sleep.
I guess now is the best time to tell you all a bit about myself? Well, my name is Mia. Mia McVey; I used to live in California but, as you've probably already guessed, I've just moved to England with my mom and my brother James. We moved to England for many of reasons, not ones that I, myself, would like to explain at this moment in time. I am seventeen and currently taking the last of my exams before I enter the world of unknown. My favourite colour is blue; my favourite animals are elephants and tigers; my favourite beverage is a chicken tikka curry...I guess that's all you need to know for now.

"MIA! WAKE UP!" I was woken from my sleep by James, standing in the centre of my room, throwing multiple pillows at my head until I was fully awake
"What time is it?" I groaned, adjusting my eyes to the light and sitting up in my bed, throwing some of the pillows back at James yet failing to do so.
"It's ten in the morning. You need to get up and dressed. I've invited the band round so I can meet them. You need to make yourself look, well, half decent than what you look now. They'll be here in an hour." James stated before leaving my room. Groaning, I climbed out of bed, grabbed fresh clothes from my suitcase aswell as your usual shower essentials, and walked into the bathroom. I won't bore you by explaining to you what I did in the shower, I mean, it's pretty obvious, right?
Once finished, I changed into my clothes for the day: leggings, a plain grey top and my light blue denim jacket. I brushed my hair and tied it into a top knot bun, securing it in place with bobby pins and hairspray before brushing my teeth. Happy and satisfied with how I looked, I placed my belonging back in my room and made my way downstairs, discovering my mom and James sat in the lounge watching the TV.
"How long left until they arrive?" I asked James, sitting down next to him, attempting to engage in conversation with him.
"We have about five minutes until they arrive" James replied, checking his phone for the time. Knowing that I wouldn't be able to get much out of James, I left the lounge and headed into the kitchen.
Due to being in the house less than twenty four hours, we didn't have a lot of food in the cupboards or the fridge-freezer. Making the most of what we did have, I managed to find some bread, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, cheese and a half full bottle of mayonnaise. Using the food available, I was able to make myself a sandwich. I also grabbed a juice pouch from the fridge-freezer and placed both the juice and sandwich on the island placed in the centre of our kitchen. I pulled over a stool and began to eat my sandwich.
Whilst eating, thoughts in my mind began to take over, resulting in me thinking about James' band. What will they be like? What type of music will they play? Questions flooded my mind about the band, and, the more I thought about them, the more intrigued I was to get to know them.
"MIA! Snap out of your thoughts, I need to introduce you to the band!" I was interrupted from my thoughts by James whom had appeared in the doorway of the kitchen along with three other boys.
"What?" I asked, taking a bite out of my sandwich, completely oblivious as to what James had just told me. I heard a snicker and my head darted behind James' head and towards his band members.
"Mia, this is Brad, Connor and Tristan. Guys, my sister, Mia"
"Hi" they all said in sync with one another. I looked at them all, analysing each of them one by one. The first boy had brown curly hair; his eyes were a deep brown and he had the cutest smile. He was dressed in a burgundy sweater and black skinny jeans. I was introduced to him, now knowing that his name was Brad and that he is the lead singer of the band.
The second boy was called Connor, the bass player and backing vocals. He had dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. His nose was pierced with a ring. He was wearing a 'Panic At The Disco' vest top with a grey hoodie and, like Brad, black jeans.
The last boy was called Tristan. He was the tallest out of all the boys and the bands drummer. He had a baggy white sweater on, paired with, like Brad and Connor, black skinny jeans. He had blonde hair and bright blue eyes, he had a cheeky smile plastered on his face and a jawline to die for. 'Fuck me, he's hot' I thought to myself before returning my attention back to James.
"We're going downstairs to rehearse, don't bother us." James stated once the introductions were finished. I nodded at him as he lead the way out of the kitchen, all three boys trailing behind him. I waved goodbye and returned back to my sandwich, glancing up as Tristan left the room. He turned his head and gave me a weak smile before winking at me, followed by a smirk. Shocked, I couldn't help but sit with my eyebrows raised, wondering why he had done that. I mean, I know it probably meant nothing, but still...
Rubbish ending, whoops, sorry!
Hope you all had a good Trismas
