A Favour to Return
The wind blows lightly, chilling my exposed skin which causes me to shiver. The concrete rooftop I sit on is freezing but it only makes sense since it's midnight, maybe later. I look out on the city I call 'home', if I should even call this living hell home. Every day and night those beasts lurk around looking for their next victim even if that poor soul is their own kind like some sick, twisted game of hide and seek. There's nothing more disgusting. Oh wait there is! I am one of those revolting monsters.
Signing I turn my gaze from the horror story of a city to the moon. Its so strange that something so simple as a rock that orbits around Earth is one if the most calming and beautiful things known to any Earth creature. Maybe it's because it symbols hope or light in the dark. But even that I don't understand because it grows smaller and weaker until it eventually disappears for awhile, and wouldn't that represent weakness and giving up?
Light footsteps moving towards me snaps me out of my thoughts. The steps being so quiet that if I were mere human I wouldn't have heard them, but that means whatever the steps belong to isn't human either.
Quickly I jump up and spin around only to come face to face with a extremely good looking man smirking down at me. His eyes seem to glow yellow in the dark of night, anyone would be able to spot them miles away. His long eyelashes almost brush his high cheekbones when he blinks; his skin was pale but not like a ghost, ghoul or wraith. His sly smirk stretched acrost his face, thinning out his light pinkish lips alittle bit. His purposely messy hair was a light almost blond color; sort of a light tan color. His black shirt fit tightly which showed off his muscular body, his arms flexed a small amount from being crossed against his chest. He was much taller then me, maybe a foot or more. If he had been human maybe I would have admired or respected him but I simply cannot even see the good qualities in any beast.
"Twyla Okamaru, 'new born'. Archangel, Ghoul hybrid; chaos, insanity, psycho." The strange, beautiful man states looking me dead in the eye, his smirk never leaving his face.
"W-what?" It takes me a moment or two to register the fact he just announced my name and what type of creature I am. Not only that but my age and symbol to. "Who the hell are you?" I growl, slowly sliding my hand down my hip and into the small pocket in my black leather pants, wrapping my fingers around the cold wooden handle of my small yet deadly blade.
His smile fades alittle as his gaze moves from my face down to my hand. "No need to get feisty little girl, no need for that knife." His lip is jut out into a pout, finally rid of that smirk that frustrates me ever so much. Suddenly his pout is gone and he has a scarily serious expression; I'd least expect that from him. "I'm not here to hurt you, more like I'm here to return a favor." He then smiles, getting on one knee and bowing down. He takes my right hand and kisses it lightly. "From now on, I am your loyal protecter."
I feel my face quickly heat up at his words and action. I look up above his kneeling body, glaring at a single star that shines in the night sky for no particular reason. "Baka..." I lightly say, overly embarrassed.
