Jimin and Yoongi had decided to spend their Valentine's Day playing chess. Well, mostly Jimin decided. The younger's constant whining and pouting led to Yoongi giving in and begrudgingly playing the game with his favorite dongsaeng.
"Checkmate.", Yoongi drawled lazily as he knocked over Jimin's king with his knight.
A wide smile broke through Jimin's face as he blurted, "Well ~oppa~, I guess you've won this game AND my heart!" A blush crept up Yoongi's face as he turned to hide his embarrassment.
"Yah! Park Jimin, get your cheesiness away from me!", he exclaimed while glaring at his boyfriend.
"But you're my knight in shining armor!", Jimin exclaimed as he tackled his elder to the floor with a bear hug.
Annoyed but not wanting to disappoint his dongsaeng, he shrugged Jimin off and ruffled the younger's bright orange hair. He then slinked off to his room, but not before sneaking a look behind him, hoping Jimin wouldn't notice his antics. That shouldn't be a concern though, Yoongi thought as he heard the other gleefully making a start on cooking their ~romantic~ dinner.
The moment he gets back to his room, Yoongi pulls out the song he wrote for Jimin from the glass desk and nervously looked it over. Yoongi was a genius lyricist, in fact, he reached international fame as an underground rapper. But, neither of those qualifications negated the fact that Jimin made Yoongi's heart pound and hands sweat. No matter how many times he's rapped on stage or featured with his other rapper friends, nothing could compare to how he felt
when he was with Jimin. "I appreciate the masterpiece that is you because your existence alone is art."
Every breathe Jimin takes and every word he would say made Yoongi's heart want to burst. Even his steps are filled with such joy and happiness that it warmed the elder's "cold" heart. Yoongi felt as if he was a thousand feet deep in love with a dork named Park Jimin and there was nothing in the world that could make him want to go back up.
The rapper gently folds it up and stuffs the sheet into his shirt pocket after hearing Jimin's calls for dinner. Nervously, he slides out of his room to help his boyfriend set the table.

It's after dessert when Jimin brings up the idea of exchanging presents. Yoongi decides that the younger should go first and Jimin's so excited that he doesn't catch the slight waver in his boyfriend's normally calm tone. Yoongi's delighted to find that his cute dongsaeng hand-made him a Kumamon plushie, regardless of the clumsy stitching around the paws. In exchange, Yoongi carefully pulls out the paper and hands it Jimin, face slightly tilted away to conceal his blushing cheeks. Out of the corners of his eyes, he watches Jiminie's eyes scan the page as his his eyes disappears into crescents to match his wide smile. A hint of tears start to well near the younger's eyes and Yoongi can't help but be silently proud of himself. Jimin slowly rises and hobbles over to the older, bringing him into a soft hug before lightly kissing his wonderful soul mate on the lips.
