"They call him Blurryface, y'know? No one knows what he looks like," a man in a trench coat mentioned as he passed by Lou, who was staring at a wall of TVs in a store window. All the televisions were broadcasting the same message:
NEW DRUG LORD STRIKES AGAIN
POLICE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECTS; NO RESULTS
The screens changed to an image of a carcass, seemingly shredded and rotting. In graffiti above the carcass were the words "I care what you think". It was the phrase that had baffled everyone for months. Was there a secret message? Was there a link? Was it just a message to make law enforcement angry?
Lou felt the touch of a hand on her shoulder and she turned to come face-to-face with a pale girl. "Blurryface struck again," Lou whispered. The girl chuckled and linked arms with her, leading her away.
"Yes, I did."
