This pretty lady is my gemsona. Steven Universe is a great show, and I've been redesigning this girl since the beggining of school last year XD
I don't wanna give her full story until I know more about the homeworld gems and homeworld itself. But... the basic of it is she and other Carnelian were made solely to be soldiers, and she had a special ability that caught the attention of Yellow Diamond. Yellow Diamond watched her closely, and trained her intensively to become her personal guard (since Yellow is more scientific). Carnelian sees what Rose Quartz is doing- and betrays homeworld to join the Crystal Gems. She helped teach gems how to fight, and the war haunts her to this day.
