"Boss!"

"Mikoto-san!"

"Bad! This is bad!"

"What is it...?"
The red king let out a puff of smoke as he exhaled calmly, glancing over to his pale-looking boys.

"Anna...Anna-chan and Yata-san is in danger!"

Rubbing the cigarette bud at the base of the ashtray, Mikoto hopped off the stool and made his way over to where the boys were taking him.

"So tell me...what happened?"

"We were walking around town and Anna-chan said she sensed something coming. However, before we could comprehend anything, someone managed to knock everyone out. Yata-san is trying his best to protect Anna-chan while I go and get you!"

Red flames engulfed the fuming male as he made his way over to the scene. No one messes with his family, especially when his not around.

When they finally reached the scene, Mikoto was shocked to see an unfamiliar female shielding Yata and Anna.

- An Hour Ago -

"[F/N]-nee, where are you going?"

"I'm going to buy some groceries, so be good and lock all the windows and doors. Make sure to not open to strangers too okay?"

You ruffled your little brother's hair as you made your way out to the supermarket.

Fishing out the list of things to buy, you approached the aisle where there's a sale and managed to grab most of the things you need before it was snatched by all the aunties around. Checking the remaining items off your list, you walked over to the cashier to pay your items.

With two bags of groceries, you quickly made your way home. Not wanting to leave your brother alone for too long.

However, a commotion in front made you stopped as you wondered what had happen. Curiosity got the better of you and you made your way over, only to see a few injured guys lying on the ground while a single teen was struggling to protect a precious little girl.

Things escalated quickly when the male collapsed on the floor with visible cuts and bruises as he hugged the little girl from an incoming attack.

You didn't now what had possessed you at that time but you found yourself running between them and stretching your hands out to protect the two.

Shutting your eyes tightly, you braced for impact, only to feel a burning sensation on your left arm.

- Present Time -

Mikoto reached his hand out as flames shot through the air, slamming against the attacker. He was knocked out by the sudden impact. Running over to the scene, you opened your eyes only to find the attacker slammed onto a wall. However, that was not your priority at the moment. Quickly turning around, you ignored the burning feeling on your arm and approached the orange-haired male and the girl.

"Are you okay? I'll call the ambulance but first we need to treat that wound."
You tore a part of your skirt and wrapped it around the male's shoulder.

Yata blushed as he watched you treat his wound, not used to having a female so close to him.

Anna on the other hand watched in surprise as you treat Yata's wound gently. Then, she turned to Mikoto and Kamamoto that's running towards your direction.

"Mikoto..."
She muttered, standing up and running to him.

You glance towards her direction and saw her holding onto a fierce-looking male's hand while he stood with another approaching blondie. Your heart raced as you stumbled to stand, after finish tying the temporary bandage on Yata's wound.

"M-Mikoto-san!"
Yata struggled to stand and was about to fall until you caught him. Though, with your wounded arm that is.

"I-itai..."
You winced, as Yata flinched and pulled away.

"G-Gomen!"
He blushed.

Mikoto approached you but you took a step back unconsciously.

He reached out and took your wounded hand gently, seeing the burns he caused from the fire.

"Sorry. The fire I blasted was too sudden so I was not able to control it within that short period of time."

"I-it's okay! Really! This is just a minor wound. More importantly, I think you should pay attention to your friend's wound. If it's not treated immediately-"

"D-don't worry miss! I'll be fine if I rest!"
Yata shyly interrupted as he rubbed the back of his head.

Anna let go of Mikoto's hand and tugged onto your shirt, causing you to lower yourself to her eye level.

"Thank you for protecting us..."

"N-no need to thank me...I didn't know what I was doing until I realized my leg moved on its own."
You chuckled nervously.

Mikoto watched with curiosity, wondering why someone like you would help them when people usually avoid getting involve.

"Ah! I'm sorry! I need to hurry or my little brother will be worried!"
Totally ignoring the stinging sensation on your arms, you ran towards the bag of fallen groceries and pick them up as quickly as you could.

"Hey Miss! We're from HOMRA! So if you need any help, just come visit us at the next street!"

You faced the group of guys and with a flash of a warm smile, you made your back home.

"What a weird girl yeah?"
Kusanagi chuckled, while they watched your figure slowly disappearing among the crowd.
