*Honk Honk*

I was sitting on the couch with my dad when I heard the voice of a car honk. I went into my balcony to see Abhimanyu down there, I waved to him and told him I will be down in two minutes.

"Be responsible" My dad said holding my shoulders.

"Daaad, we are going to Burger King, we will just eat Burger and Fries"

"That's why I am saying so. I have seen you eat, my love. Do not eat like you usually do or that guy will get scared and won't ever talk to you again."

"Ha Ha very funny, dad. Can I go now? Abhimanyu is waiting"

"I am sorry" My dad replied laughing.

"Wait" He added. He pulled the rubber band from my hair out and set my hair down. "Your hair looks nice when they are open"

"Uhh.. Okay...Bye.. I love you" I replied as I went out of my front door

I had put on my plain blue T-shirt with a black jeans and had my hair down, thanks to my father.

"Hii" Abhimanyu said as I reached towards his car

"Hello, how are you?" I asked

"Never been better. You look really nice" Abhimanyu said as we both took the backseat in his car. He had got his driver along, since legal driving age in India is 18 and we being 16 couldn't drive.

"Uhh..Thanks...Thank You.. You look really nice too" I replied awkwardly

"So, are you excited?" He asked trying to initiate a conversation

"How can I not be excited for Burger King" I replied in a very 'hyper' tune

"That is good to know, I however was talking about, excited about spending time with me" He replied

2 mins into the night and I have already done something stupid. Great!

"Oh.. I am sorry, I didn't knew. But yes, of course I am excited about spending time with you." I said trying to sound excited
........
We arrived at Burger King a few minutes later and took a seat

"But how can you not like hip hop" Abhimanyu asked

We were talking our likes and dislikes and ended up talking about music genres, a topic I am comfortable with

"I don't know, hip hop just doesn't appeal to me the way other genres do" I replied

"I have never met a singer who doesn't like hip-hop. You are the first"

"You need to broaden your horizons then. Go and meet some people Abhimanyu. You will soon realise that there are many people like me who don't like hip hop" I replied sarcastically

"I can never fully trust people who don't like hip hop" He said, winking me

"Sooo, what do wanna eat" He asked

"Oh I'll just have the whooper and some Fries" I said

"You got it. I'll be right back" Abhimanyu got up from the chair and joined the queue to get our orders

The night is going pretty good to be honest, I did not expect it to be nice, but the tables have turned somehow and I am finding myself having fun. For once I am having a normal night and I really grateful for that.

"Heyy. Is everything alright?" Suddenly came a voice and I saw Abhimanyu snapping his fingers in front of me.

"Yes. Yes, I was just thinking something" I replied

"Uhh..Okay. Let's dig in now" Abhimanyu said sitting back on the chair and offering me my order
.........

It is 8:30 pm and we have reached back to my place. I stepped out of Abhimanyu's car and waved him goodbye

"Thanks a lot, Abhimanyu. I had a lot of fun" I said

"Thanks a lot for coming" He replied back

"Well... I will see you at school tomorrow then" I finally said.

"Yeah yeah. See you tomorrow" He replied awkwardly

I turned my back and went inside my home and could hear his car go away.

He was definitely expecting something else from me in the end.
