These bones have felt their share of aching,
This heart has had its breaking,
And all thats left are broken pieces on a shelf,
Waiting for a miracle to heal them at the core.

But
I walk alone,
To the unknown,
I'll never trust or love again,
Just waiting for my bitter end,
And,
I can't be strong,
Ive done so for too long,
This heavy heart will never mend,
So do not tell me or pretend,
That everything will be ok,
I'm already on my way.

This head is hanging at the chest,
And my legs are giving their best,
To drag this body with no passion,
Through the gates of fallen mansions,
Where heroes too told tales of woe.

Cause,
I walk alone,
To the unknown,
ll never trust or love again,
Just waiting for my bitter end,
And,
I can't be strong,
Ive done so for too long,
This heavy heart will never mend,
So do not tell me or pretend,
That everything will be ok,
I'm already on my way.

You tell me that there's still a chance,
Yeah maybe that's true for the rest,
But there's no reason I can find,
To fake living while inside,
I'm already dead.

I've walked alone,
For far too long,
I can't trust or love again,
Cause I know pain comes in the end.
And,
I tried to be strong,
But after so long,
This heavy heart can't seem to mend,
I tried to fake it and pretend,
That everything would be ok,
But the pain caught up with me,
In the end I could never run away.
