"Why did I let you talk me into going to school?" Trillara asked her best friend as they walked towards the front entrance of the school, on their way to the dormitories.

Amaranth turned to face Trillara, and gave her a look. "You helped found the damn place. The least you could do is actually go there."

Trillara shrugged. She had better things to do with her life than sit in a classroom and learn the history of things she had literally lived through. She would've thought Amaranth felt the same way, seeing as she been there with Trillara a great portion of the time, but no. Anytime an opportunity to learn came up, Amaranth was all for it. Knowing her, she would be the head of Google, Tumblr, Twitter, Youtube, and every other social media website you could think of. If only she wasn't frozen at the age of 16 for the rest of eternity. Okay, maybe saying that she would be the head of all things technology was a little exaggerated. But Amaranth was a genius, no one could deny that. And she wasn't frozen at 16 for eternity either. Nor was Trillara. They had only been 16 for the past, 600 years. And where Amaranth had spent all those years learning and becoming probably the biggest nerd in the world, Trillara had been doing something much different.

As they walked through the doors, Trillara's breath hitched. "Well, this place has changed since I've been here."

"What do you expect? Its been more than 300 years since you've been here. And if I recall correctly, you never even stepped foot inside. "

Amaranth had a point. Even though Trillara had paid for most of the school to be built, she never actually saw it. Just the blueprints. Trillara had never been one for education. She was smart, and loved to read, but that was it. She knew history because she practically lived it, as far as she was concerned, she didn't need anything more than basic math to get through life, and it also helped that being a witch, she was fluent in most languages. No, Trillara had spent the better half of 600 years traveling. She had been everywhere. And in the box she was carrying were not clothes, but objects. Objects she had gotten from past witches from all over the globe.

The box was baroque in style and needed her hand to gain access to the items inside. Since the continents were very powerful and sometimes dangerous it was heavily bounded with various spells and near impossible to penetrate.

"Where's our dorm again?" She asked.

Amaranth looked at the slip of paper in her hand.

"Our dorm was room B16, but I hacked into the school's mainframe and now we have room A01, which is the biggest room, and at the other end of campus."

"I know I give you crap for being a nerd, but you have no idea how much I love your computer-ness right now."

They continued walking in silence until Trillara stopped right in her tracks.

"Oh my God," she said.

"Gosh," Amaranth corrected. She always hated it when people took the Lord's name in vain.

"Would you look at that? Maybe coming to school wasn't such a bad idea," Trillara said, starring at two boys on the other side of the hallway.

They were both tall, maybe 6 foot 3, and looked around 17. One had black hair carelessly tousled into a 'just out of bed' look wearing a shirt sporting The Neighbors band logo. The other boy had dark brown hair, and was wearing a sweater that screamed HIPSTER to Trillara. The boy with black hair was talking to the hipster, but the hipster wasn't paying attention. He was too busy starring in the girls direction. More noticeably at Amaranth.

But of course, Amaranth didn't notice. She was too busy messing around with her necklace.

"Amaranth, what are you doing?"
