Unexpected, A Lydia Martin & Isaac Lahey FanFic

Isaac Lahey has always been an outcast when it comes to school. He's never invited to parties, never kissed a girl, and especially never dated one. Unless you call kissing a girl under a tree at recess in kinderkarden. Hes had some good friends but that all ended in fourth grade. But he has never had a moment in life where someone has made him feel special. Being abused by his own father didnt help anything either. Until his freshman year everything started to change. Isaac, Lydia, and her older brother Luke used to be the bestest friends in elementary school. They would always be together, always. Ever since Luke went into his first year of middle school and Isaac and Lydia were stuck in fourth grade, they drifted apart. Lydia became the queen bee and Isaac became the lower class individual and Luke got involved in alot of drugs and died of lung cancer in his freshman year. Luke was rushed to the hospital that night but died in the ambulance. When the ambulance arrived to the hospital they planned on doing an immediate autopsy. When Scott McCall's mom, Melissa saw that it was Luke she started to tear up because she knew that he was dealing with his dyslexia and being bullied all middle school for it. She felt like she could of done something, and believed it was her fault. She was like a second mother to him since his mom travels a lot. She leaned towards him and kissed his forehead and saying a little prayer. Then she walked out of the room whiping her tears away. After an hour and thirty minutes Melissa came back in to start Luke's autopsy, when she opened the door she noticed he wasnt there, he was gone. She ran out of the room an went to the front desk and yelled at the lady, "Where is he, where is Luke Martin? He is gone! Where did you move him to?" The lady looked at her confussed and replied, "What are you talking about? We did not move Luke Martin anywhere. No one even went into his room except for you, Mrs. McCall!" She ran back into his room and looked at the wide opened window watching the full moon get brighter and bigger every second. She whispered to herself, "Where is he, where could he be?"

~two years later

Two years later Isaac and Lydia go to Beacon Hills High for there freshman year. They havent talked since fourth grade. Lydia is still the most popular girl in school and Isaac is still the lower class. Lydia is still depressed about the death of her older brother but she doesnt ever show it. Isaac still thinks about the good times he had with Lydia and Luke when they were little and he feels bad for Lydia having to go through with the death of her brother. He knows she misses him no matter how much she hides it, she does and he does too. He tries to become friends with her again so he goes up to her unexpectedly in the hallways on the first day of school. He walks up to the beautiful strawberry blonde and says, "Hey Lydia. Remember me, Isaac Lahey? We used to be best friends in elementary school but kind of drifted away." She looked at him in surprise and confusion and then looked away to her best friend Alison Argent. He looked at her regreting every single word that he said and actually going up to her. She looked back at him and said, "Why would you think that I knew you? I dont remember being friends with you at all, sorry. You can go now, bye." Isaac's jaw dropped then walked away to his locker feeling like he was about to explode. Alison looked at Lydia and said, "Are you ready to go to lunch?" Lydia looked at her and said, "Yeah, I actually have to go to the restroom. I will be right there." Alison walked away towards the lunch room meeting her boyfriend, Scott. Lydia turned to Isaac, watching him closely. She looks down at her feet and whispered to herself, "Are you really going to do this?" Then she looks up at him and they are the only two in the hallways and starts walking towards him by his locker. She taps him on the shoulder and he turns around to see the Lydia Martin he knew in elementary school, beautiful, intelligent, and innocent. He looked at her straight in the eye and says, "Wha-what are you doing? Someone could see you talking to me." But he did know what she was doing, he knew she was trying to be friends with him again. She smiled and sayed, "I dont care, I just need to talk to you Isaac. I am truely sorry about pretending to not know you, I was just in shock because I thought you forgot about us being friends. I feel like a bitch." He smiles at her and says, "Its okay. I understand, it was kind of strange of me to suddenly walk up to you since we havent even talked since fourth grade." She looks down and says to him, "Im glad you did though. I missed you Isaac. And I was wondering if you wanted to um eat lunch with me?" He picked her chin up and whispered, "I would love to." The two of them walk down the hall side by side holding hands like they used to. When they reach the entrance to the lunch room everyone turns to them in silence with there eyes wide. Lydia looks at Alison sitting at the table next to the window sitting by Scott McCall. She looks at Lydia and Isaac in surprise. Isaac and Lydia walk towards the table, Lydia sits down next to Alison and Isaac sits next to Lydia. Scott gets up and walks over by Isaac and sits next to him and says, "Are you and Lydia like dating now?" He blushes and says to him, "No, we just um, we started to talk again. We were best friends when we were babies and elementary school. Me, her, and her older brother were very close way back then." Lydia starts talking to Alison about Isaac. "Lydia, do you like him? Wait, are you guys dating?" She blushes and says, "I think so, but no we arnt dating." Alison says to her, "You should bring him to Scott's party. Are you going to ask him?" Lydia turns to Isaac and taps his shoulder. He turns around to face her and says with a big smile, "Whats up?" She starts to blush and then finally says, "Isaac, wo-would you come to Scott's party with me? Not as a date or anything but just as friends." He grabs her hand and whispers in her ear, "Yes, I would like that. Id like that a lot." She smiles and says, "Okay great! It's tomorrow night at 10." He smiles at her. The bell rings and then she gets up to throw away her garbage but he pulls her arm down and grabs the garbage from her and gets up and throws it away for her. He comes back and she says, "You didnt have to do that." He looks at her and grabs her hands and picks her up and wraps his arms around her waist. He whispers to her, "Get on my back. I will give you a piggy back ride." She nods her head and he turns around and she jumps onto his back gracefully. He looks up at her with a smile and whispers, "Hold on tight." She leans her chin on the top of his head and holds onto him as tight as she can. Isaac takes her outside of the school to the parking lot. She laughs and says, "Where are we going, silly?" He puts her down gentially and grabs her hand and says, "Just follow me, I want to show you something." They walk for atleast 15 minutes talking about their lives and everything that has happened to them. And then they finally end up at this beautiful waterfall in the Beacon Hills Preserve. She looks at the waterfall and then turns back to him. He says to her, "Remember this place?" She looks down and it reminds her of when she fell in love with him, with Isaac Lahey in fourth grade. He looks at her and says, "Whats wrong? Why are you sad, Lyd?" She looks up at him with tears in her eyes. He grabs her and holds her tight whiping her tears with his gentle hands. She whispers in his ear, "This is where I realized that I was falling in love with you, the last day we hung out and the day we stopped talking." He blushes and tucks her hair behind her ear and lifts her chin up and smiles. He looks at her lips and says, "I loved you ever since the first day we met, and i always will." She leans in to kiss him but when there lips almost touch he whispers, "Wait, are you sure you want to do this? Are you sure you want to be with me? I know i do but do you?" She nods and says, "I want to be with you more than anyone. I love you Isaac. Forever, you and me." He kisses her and she kisses back. She puts her hands around his neck and he puts his hands on her waist. Then Isaac hears someone with his supernatural hearing but he tries to ignore it but then Lydia hears the footprints and pulls back and looks at Isaac and says, "Do you here that?" She looks around and sees a man or maybe a boy standing in front of them. Isaac sees him too. He gets closer to them with his black hood over his head and his hands shaking. Isaac says to her, "Get back. Get behind me, Lydia!" The guy looks up and yells, "Lydia is that you? Lydia Martin?" She looks at him right in the eye. He says back to her, "That is you. I thought I would never see you again." Lydia looks closely at him and then she finally recognizes who he is. Its him, its her brother, Luke Martin.
