Heart racing as I run,
I run and run but don't get far.
It Always seems that they aren't far away.
You could run as fast as you can,
OR drive, or fly but you never really escape. You never escape the depth of the feelings that you've worked so hard to ignore. You build up walls but they slip in the cracks.
You scream at the top of your lungs but they're screaming louder.
You close your eyes but you can't close your heart.
They are part of life and maybe that's why life isn't meant for everyone.
That's what people are so scared of nowadays.
Not death or of life,
But of war on yourself.
Of feelings,
Of love,
Of rejection.
We fear the things that are inevitable,
and that's why we live in fear.
