“So.” He shrugged sliding out of the booth and grabbing her hands to pull her up as well. She giggled covering her face, as he guided her by her elbow. Her laughter stopped when his strong tattooed arms slid around her waist. It took a few seconds for her arms to wrap around his neck but once they did, the two disappeared into their own world. Inappropriate thoughts clouded Paris’s mind as she stared at King’s beautiful smile. The song came to a slow end, and for the first time they noticed that other people had joined them.
“Haha, oh my gosh King I can’t believe you made me do that!” Paris laughed uncontrollably, her face red as they sat down again. “You said it was your song, I don’t know about you but whenever I hear my song I gotta dance.” He joked loving the huge smile on her face. After a few more minutes of aimless talk the restaurant manager appeared at their table.
“Hi, I’m Andrew and I own this restaurant-“ Paris’s face turned red again and she began to explain, “Sir we are so sorry. I-“
“No! I came to thank you guys! I’ve never seen our restaurant this lively! And for that, you two are welcome to come back anytime free of charge!” Andrew exclaimed. Paris smiled at King, “Thanks.”
Once Andrew walked away after getting both their names, King looked over at Paris. “You ready to head back?”
She nodded brushing the stray strands of hair away from her face. “Yeah I better, I have a few phone conferences.” She answered sliding out of the booth, waiting for King to get up. He just couldn’t shake the feeling settling in his chest. Man get it together, King thought to himself getting up and following her out of the restaurant.
When they returned to work, they ignored the instigating stares and whispers that they got from women in the office who lusted after King and the men in the office that on more than several occasions had gotten shot down by Paris. “Lunch was fun, thanks a lot King.”
“No problem Paris.” He smiled. They stood staring at each other awkwardly until Elise walked up to them, “Uh am I interrupting something?”
Paris snapped out of it and flashed Elise a small smile, “No you’re not. I’ll see you later King.” She walked away and back towards her office. Elise stared after her with envy.
“What’d you need Elise?” King asked inching closer to his office. “Oh! Uhmm sorry I forgot.” She giggled. King chuckled and walked into his office, loading up his computer again the smile that Paris put on his face never leaving.
(Rock)
Rock’s hearty laugh filled the room, but the situation at hand was everything but humorous.
“I-I-I’m so sorry.” Draya cried standing in front of him shaking slightly.
Rock shook his head and looked at her, “Now you sorry? Bitch you wasn’t sorry when you was stealing my fucking money! You and Chanel both slipping.” Draya’s ears perked up ever since they were kids Chanel was always the better one. They used to be close until Chanel decided she was too good for her cousin.
“Chanel talking out her neck, trying quit. You and her both know the only way you getting out of this shit is the grave.” Rock stated, Draya’s skin crawled.
“Now listen and listen good cause next time I’m just going to let my gun do the talking; if I hear about you stealing money from me again I won’t hesitate to beat that ass daughter or not.” Yeah, you read right. I guess you can call Rock one sick man, what kind of father threatens to kill his daughter on a daily basis? What kind of father enjoys seeing his daughter strip. And ultimately, what kind of uncle treats his niece like how he treats Chanel.
