Riley's point of view
I avoided my parents and Auggie that morning and just went to school. I didn't bother waiting for Maya because Lucas walks her to school now and I've been feeling like a third wheel.

I arrived at school and sat right in my seat. Everyone was huddled in the back around Maya. I didn't know why and I didn't intend on finding out.

My dad began teaching but I didn't listen. I was mad at him and he didn't care. Everyone was whispering And passing notes to Maya. No one listened to my dad except probably Farkle. "And sometimes other countries..." he cleared his throat and looked at me. "...get involved in issues they shouldn't be involved in" he said.

Oh my gosh. I can't believe he taught us this today. "I can't believe you!" I screamed. "Riley, what's wrong calm down?" Farkle asked. I didn't answer. I stood up. "I can't believe you come into school and act like nothing is happening. And worst of all you're blaming me!" I screamed. I walked over to the door. I turned around and faced the class. All of them focused on Maya. Even my own best friend didn't care about what I was going through. I bit my lip and a tear fell down my cheek. I turned around and left the room.

"Riley wait-" a voice I hadn't heard in awhile said before I ran too far away to hear another word.

Sorry for the short chapter I'll update tommorow. :-)
