Back in 2015, this story was inspired by an outbreak of news articles on Facebook stating that there was a recent Goatman sighting.
Many of the sources proclaimed that there was newfound "evidence" to prove his existence, warily warning the reader that he was somewhere out there.
Goatman sightings have been reported since the late 40s/early 50s, and have occurred in several states, but most notably, he has been reported to be seen on the back-roads of Maryland.
Comically speaking, I live no so far away from his alleged terrain and thought that this urban legend would be quite fun to elaborate on.
With all seriousness, this story is meant to be a parody.
