okay I am not a professional writer so sorry for the mistakes that are possible in this chapter

"Ava hurry up and come downstairs we are already late" my mom yelled out ready to run out the door. I rolled my eyes and walked down the stairs not wanting to leave my warm and comfortable home, but I must seeing as my parents won't let me stay home. I went downstairs and put on my grey converse and slowly open the front door that leads to the chilling wind of the outdoors. I quickly locked the door and ran to the car just wanting to feel the warmth. Once I got to the vehicle, I opened the back door seeing as my parents occupied the front. I ended up sitting next to my brother Anthony which was a bad idea. You see I'm the oldest out of 5 kids. See first there's 16 year old me, and then 12-year-old Anthony, 11-year-old Noah, ten-year-old Timmy, and last but not least 8-year-old Taylor. I get along with everyone, but Anthony and I are still working on being nice to each other. I try to keep my cool, but he just makes it so hard. Well anyway while I was trying to think about what I'm going to about the homework that I forgot to do when Anthony started beatboxing which ticked me off, so I kindly asked.

"Anthony can you please not do that right now" he stopped and turned his head to face me and gave me a ginormous smirk then went back to beatboxing but even louder this time.

"uuuggghhhh mom!! can you tell An to please stop?!?" I yelled.

"Anthony, please stop your giving me a headache," my mother said. Its funny how whenever my mom says to stop he does but when she tells him to do something he puts up a fight.

"Hey, Ava guess what?!?!" Taylor's high pitched voice asked.

"What?" I said turning my head back so could see her adorable little face.

"I got student of the month today!!" She said proudly

"That does not surprise me one-bit little bird," I said with a little laugh

"We're here," my father said while shutting off the car. We then all got out and headed to the front door of the house my dad had parked in front of. My mom knocked on the door, and my dad's good friend Micheal opens it.

"Hey Brandon, Lily long time no see," Micheal says as if we haven't seen him in a year when the last time we saw him was YESTERDAY. My parents laugh and then Micheal invited us inside. Once we got inside my three brothers ran straight to Alex, the second oldest child who just so happens to be my age. My sister ran to Harry and Juliana, the youngest children in the family, while I just stood there awkwardly. Yeah if you haven't noticed by now the Russel family (my family) and the Peters family are best friends. We have been for our whole lives. My mom and Michael used to date, but obviously that didn't work out since he married her best friend. It's a long and complicated story. Let's just say that my mom couldn't get mad at her seeing as she married her best friends ex. I told you it was complicated. Ever since I was born every Sunday our family's hung out, and there was never a way I could get out of it.

The Peters are a family of six there's Micheal the father, Anna the mother, Sam, the 18 year old jock, who isn't here right now which is not surprising. I haven't seen him in like a month, but it's alright. I don't have a relationship with him we just say hi and bye sometimes. Then there's Alex the 17-year-old "cool kid", Juliana the 13-year-old girl who just adores kids, and last but not least little eight-year-old Harry who personally is my favorite.

I sat on the couch for about ten minutes watching my brothers talking with Alex about stupid videos of people falling and cars. I also watched as Juliana played with Harry and Taylor.

I then got bored, so I got up and walked down the hall to the last door on the right. I then opened it and went inside. Several guitars were leaning against the back wall, and right in the middle of the room was a jet black grand piano. This was one of the only reasons I love coming here. They owned the piano of my dreams. I sat on the piano bench and placed my fingers on the keys. I played a G major chord, then a D major, an E minor, a C major, and G again. I started to roll my chords together to make them sound like ripples in the water. I then started singing one of the songs I wrote. When I was done, I took a deep breath and let out a sigh. 'I wish I weren't so alone' i thought to myself. Just then I heard someone say

"So this is where you disappear off to every time you come over" I turned around to see Sam leaning against the door frame. I gave him a worried look

"How long have you been standing there?" I said crippled with fear. No one has ever heard me play one of my songs and well I would like to keep it that way.

"A while. What song is that??" he asked while walking to one of the guitars and picking it up. I started to panic I mean the song doesn't have a title because I can't ever pick just one title to describe my songs.

"umm...none of your business," I said defensively.

"Oh, I see. you wrote that didn't you ?" he asked. Sam was now sitting in a chair, guitar in hand.

"So what if it is? It's not like I care what you think. " I said quietly while playing with my necklace.

"Good because I could've done better than that" he scoffed doing gave me the biggest smirk I've ever seen.

"what did you just say??"

"I thought you didn't care what I thought." I looked at him even more shocked.

"I don't care, but you could learn how to be nice every once in a while"

"why would I do that? It's fun being in the unknown. " I glare at him. I don't know what to say back so I just leave the room.
