"That's fine, we can do it another night." She sighs

"Ok, um, sorry about that. Mom, but I'll definitely talk to him."

They all gave me a confused face, wondering what I was talking about.

"Ok, and I know this is kind of awkward for you, but we are going over Kyle's house tonight."

"What? Why?!" I shouted.

"Because his mom, needs our help with things and I'm sure he's not even going to be there."

"Are you sure? What if he is?"

"Then, suck it up. We are going over there pretty late, I'd say around 10-ish, Shelby's welcomed to come if she'd like. But don't be late, or you can drive over. Now, I'll see you tonight. Love you."

With that she hung up, I fell back on my pillow ready to suffocate myself in the fluffy thing.

"What's wrong?" Justin asked, pulling me up.

"My mom, thats what's wrong"

"What do you mean?" Justin frowned.

"Well, for starters, I forgot we were supposed to have dinner with tonight and that's what I was supposed to talk to you about, but now we are already going somewhere so wants to reschedule and afterwards, she wants me to meet her at Kyle's house."

I stared blankly at the wall, as I talked.

"So, you're going to go?" Shelby asks.

"I have no choice but to! She says he's not going to be home tonight, but I doubt that."

Justin hadn't said a word, about me going to Kyle's house. In fact, he looked worried. Why is he worried? He has no reason to be worried, I mean, if he thinks I still like Kyle then he can get that thought out of his head, but yet again, there may be slight feeling so towards him.

Hey, don't get mad at me. He is my first love and my first with everything else.

I don't hate him, I'm just disappointed in him.

To lighten the mood, I brought up the fact that Shelby was allowed to go.

"She says, you can come to." I said to Shelby.

"I'd rather not," she mumbles, playing with the ends of her hair.

"Shelby!" I scolded "please, please, I let you drag me off to all those parties and I even covered for you in practice, do me this one favor!"

"Wait, why did you have to cover for her in practice?"

I began to say why, but then I remembered the reason and stayed quiet.

Jacob, gosh I'm such an idiot.

"I'm sorry," I mouthed to her.

She mouthed back and "it's ok"

It didn't make me feel better though, I knew how touching that situations as for her and for me as well. I almost lost my best friend, due to depression and a heartbreak.

"Justin, you ok?" I asked.

"Yeah," he simply answers, no emotion.

i didn't say nothing after that, I chewed on my bottom lip letting the awkward silence take over. Matt didn't say nothing either, he just avoided all eye contact and adverted his gaze towards his phone.

Shelby gave me an apologetic look, I shrugged my shoulders rolling my eyes.
