"Lexi, where are you?" My father calls out to me from across the living room, and I hold a hand over my mouth to stop my giggle.

I'd been hiding in my favorite place, not wanting to go to school, but wanting to play.

"Lexi, I'm serious. School is important, and you need to go. So come on out, and get ready or else you won't be getting anything for your birthday."

My eyes widen, and I shake my head.

No way was I going to have no presents on my birthday!

So being a big girl, I crawl to the door leading out of the small alcove under the stairs which only I can fit inside, and stand up.

"That's a good girl," my dad says once he sees me enter the living room.

I sigh, and go to him, poking his lip.

"So I will get presents now, right?" I ask him, my eyes searching his.

He nods, and I squeal in delight. Hugging him tightly, and kissing his cheek. He chuckles, and smiles at me.

"Thank you, thank you!" I say, then get up to go get ready for school.

My room is like a little girls dream, all pink with glitter on the walls, a gorgeous chandelier, a vanity mirror with huge amounts of make up stocked in the cabinets, a walk in closet that's full of cute clothes, and lastly my favorite part of the whole room.

The bed.

It is a super King size bed, the biggest of them all, and it's as soft as a cloud. Overflowing with pillows, stuffed animals, and comforters that always keep me warm at night. I twirl a few times in joy before going to my closet, and grab the clothes I had picked out for today. A white button up shirt, black tie, and a grey skirt with stockings. I decide to wear high heels with the outfit, and make the tie into a bow so it looks cuter.

As you can already tell I love cute, sparkly, girly things.

"Are you ready, Lexi?!" Dad yells up to me from downstairs.

I quickly change, brush my teeth, clean my face, put on makeup, comb my hair, spray perfume, and put my heels on. My long brown hair, and baby blue eyes make me stand out enough on a regular basis, but when I wear things like this I stand out even more. Finally grabbing my pink backpack, I run downstairs.

"Ready!" I say in delight once I'm downstairs with him, and he opens the door for me.

We get into the car, me going into the backseat, and dad driving.

"Ready for school today pumpkin?" He asks me, smiling at me through the rear view mirror.

I nod, bouncing slightly in my seat. I knew how I acted was typical of a little but my dad didn't mind since this was just how I always had been since I was young. It was just apart of who I was.

"I'm ready dad, but I do wish we were back in Japan. I loved it there," I pout, and sniffle slightly as I think about the past. We had moved from our home when dad got a better job offer but I never stopped missing our old place.

"I know sweetie. I miss it, too."

I sigh but hug him from the back, stretching the seat belt as I move. Seeing my school coming up though I pull away from him and grab my backpack, unbuckling myself before opening the door.

"Love you, dad!" I call out to him before hopping out of the car.

"Have a great day today pumpkin!" He says before I close the door and head off to school.
