2: Let's See Who Hits The Ground

Hai guys! Just so you know, each chapter title is going to be lyrics from an Asking Alexandria song of my choice. The first chapter was their newest song "Undivided" and this chapter's title is from "Closure."

I love the "Reckless & Relentless" album, it's my favorite. Like I love it to death. Anyways I hope you guys enjoy the chapter!

I had left Down & Dirty over a week ago. Circulating all throughout the rock magazines was the news that Danny Worsnop had left Asking Alexandria. I was a little bit pissed because I'd met that motherfucker and he was the coolest dude I'd ever met. It was a shame that he didn't wanna be there.

Suddenly my phone rang. I looked at the caller I.D on my phone's screen and I didn't recognize the number, but I answered it anyway.

"Hello?" I answered, my Ukrainian accent coming out a bit thick.

"Hi." The voice responded in a British accent. "Is this Denis......uh....." He seemed to be trying to read my name off of a paper or something, so I helped him out.

"It's Shaforostov," I interjected. "but call me Denis Stoff."

"Alright. Sounds good by me. I'm Cameron by the way."

I nodded. "Nice to meet you." I paused. "So how did you get my number?"

"Your former agent gave it to me."

I growled. Of course he did. "So what exactly did you need dude?"

"We're holding tryouts for the new lead singer and so far you're the only likely candidate."

I almost dropped to the ground in shock. "Wait....WHAT?!"

Cameron let out a hearty laugh, presumably at me and my sudden outburst at his words. "Mate we need a new lead singer for Asking. The only reason we're not having Ben do lead vocals is because he can't scream for shit, more like not at all. He's listened to you sing in Make Me Famous and he's heard you scream on two Down & Dirty singles and he thinks you'd be good for the band."

I sat down on the bare mattress I called my bed and leaned my head back onto the bare pillow. "Wow. Holy fuck....I like can't even believe this right now." A smile broke out on my face and I felt the happiest I'd been in a long time. There was nothing that could ruin my day.

"So how long have you been out of a band?" Cameron asked randomly.

"About a week," I replied. "So do you all actually want me?"

"Yeah," Cameron said. "we need a vocalist. Besides, you remind me of Danny in his early days here in AA."

I smiled. "That's great."

"Yeah. Ben was supposed to be the one who called you but......"

I narrowed my eyes, even though I know that Cameron couldn't have seen me do so. "But what?"

Cameron sighed. "He's not handling it the best."

"I'm sorry," I murmured. "I mean I'd help if I could but I'm not sure how he'd take it."

"That'd actually be great. Call the number I'm about to give you."

I was still in a bit of shock. "Oh, o-okay." I grabbed the Sharpie off the floor near my song-writing notebook and uncapped it. "Shoot."

"44 20 7946 0464." I scribbled down the digits on my arm.

"Thanks Cameron."

"Not a problem!" he said warmly. "I'm glad I could help. Just do me a favor and call that number in about five minutes."

"Okay. Goodbye Cameron."

"Goodbye Denis Stoff." He hung up the phone and I sighed deeply. Suddenly, a thought pushed its way to the fore-front of my mind.

Is the reason that Ben is taking Danny leaving so hard because they were together?

I pulled up Safari on my phone and typed into Google's search bar:

What I got was a lot of Tumblr fan-fictions and edits of them kissing and shit. Only one article by Kerrang! noted anything worthwhile.

Danny Worsnop gives Ben Bruce a ring?

The scruffy and rough Asking Alexandria frontman Danny Worsnop was seen giving a simple silver ring to AA guitarist Ben Bruce yesterday. The entire event was caught on camera by one of our photographers. According to an unnamed source, the pair is allegedly engaged and soon to be married. Danny Worsnop has come out to clear the air on these rumors and photographs, which are literally impossible to refute.

"I'm not surprised," the AA frontman told Kerrang! in an interview earlier today. "People think that I gave Ben a ring because we're engaged. Well I'm out here to say that that is a load of bullshit. Ben and I aren't engaged. The ring I gave him was a souvenir from when the band went to the States and we visited Salem, a town in Massachusetts dedicated to witchcraft. It's a really cool place. The ring was from one of the shops and it has a pentagram on it. I found it and I decided to give it to Ben, even though the trip was two years ago."

Ladies and gentlemen, I'm not sure I buy his story, especially after what we saw happen when they got drunk after a show. I think we all know that Danny is definitely hiding somewhat, just what is it?

My brain racked itself inside and out and I too couldn't figure out what Danny was hiding from everyone. I chewed on the inside of my cheek and finally made a decision.

I was gonna call Ben again once I'd slept for a few hours. I looked at the time on my phone. It read 3:30 a.m. Suddenly all of the energy had mysteriously vanished from my body as quick as it came into it. I pulled a light sheet over me, shut my phone off and drifted off to sleep.

Anyways, I'm hoping that the next chapter is up and ready to roll within a few days! I'm so stoked to write the next chapter and I look forward to reading your comments!
