Their hatred was mingled with passion.

The moment he fell rendered at her feet was the moment she had to kiss his lips and rip his heart out.

Escape; there was none.

Penances; far too many.

At the end, Love was far too heavy on their shoulders.

In a remote island, a merchant called Barra is filled with hatred, and for matters he keeps to heart, Barra aspires to impose a prolonged vengeance upon the governor of the town. His first aim is the governor's son; who Barra wishes the utmost agonizing penance. The merchant uses his own daughter, Abigail, as a pawn to ruin the heart of the governor's son.

Can Abigail comply with her father's plans when the hunger for power dissipates?

How will Abigail cope with her father's games of power when her virtue and voice is unfit for such matters?

Will Abigail arise against all that is dross or will the strengths needed be ghosts?

A story of deceits and old curses that lay demons in the chest of a pride man who sold everything he could for wealth-even his dearest possession.
