I couldn't help but let my mouth drop down. He was just in the nurse's office, but now he's standing in front of my class introducing himself. Tao. At that time, I shamelessly forgot to even ask for his name even though it felt like we really knew each other.

"Okay class, how about we introduce each other?" Mr. Welch said smiling happily.

The class groaned altogether as if he had assigned essays due for homework. I tried to not pay attention to him, but his eyes were on me the entire time. He kept looking at me, as if he was trying to figure out something about me. I couldn't help but look away so that I wouldn't blush.

"We will start with Krystal and so on till Martin, shall we start?" he said pointing to Krystal.

"Hi, I'm Krystal." She shrugged her shoulders.

"Sup bro, I'm Chandler." He said waving.

"I'm Karoline." The girl said blushing.

I made a small laugh, her? Blushing? Karoline is what everyone calls the popular girl even though she sleeps with guys just about every day. I'm surprised she hasn't even gotten aids yet. After she got done, it was my turn, but before I could stand up Mr. Welch skips me and goes on to squealing Beth. I guess he really doesn't like me, this clearly explains why everyone hates me. My eyes are blue I know, but does it make sense for society to judge me so harshly? I haven't committed a single crime in this town and yet I get treated like this. I sit back in my seat, holding in the frustration and anger, trying not to burst into tears.

"Hey what about her."

Looking up, Tao pointed at me asking Mr. Welch.

"Ah well... I think she's already introduced herself righ-"

"No, she clearly hasn't so I would like to hear her name. You went from Karoline, skipping her, then on to Beth. Does that make any sense?" Tao looked at him seriously.

Mr. Welch looked shocked by Tao's statement as well as everyone in the class. He turned towards me, asking me to introduce myself. This was the first time this semester that I got asked to speak to someone. I hesitated at first, not knowing whether or not the outcome by the end of the day, but it wouldn't be right no letting Tao know the person's name that helped him.

"I'm- I'm Al- Alexandria." I mumbled looking down at the ground.

I sat down as soon as I could, hearing all the whispers around me.

"Who does she think she is?"

"I didn't even know she had a voice, god I wish she would just die already."

"Looks like we'll need to do something about this on the bus."

I was starting to regret my actions, but at least he knew. He knew my name. Mr. Welch then decided that it was time to stop with the introductions and start class. He told Tao that he could choose any seat he wanted to sit in. There was an empty desk next to Karoline, Tony, Rose, and Mark; but he didn't choose any of them. Instead he chose the seat all the way in the back directly behind me. Everyone looked confused and Karoline was surprised he didn't sit next to her.

Mr. Welch began his lesson talking about the cold war era and how JFK gave his speech "The Ich Bin Ein Berliner." He explained that he gave this speak in front of the Berlin wall where several people died trying to escape and climb over it. Soldiers would then shoot them to death right on the spot having no mercy. Sometimes that's what I felt like, a person who's trying to escape from society and their harsh words, but I can never seem to make it, I always end up getting shot.

The projector was on, so Welch had to turned off the light making the class very dim and dark. Getting into the lesson, a note suddenly plopped on to my desk.
