Chapter 52

Lily's POV

"When is she gonna wake up?" Someone asked.

'When am I gonna wake up? I am awake!'

"We're not sure yet. She should be awake within a matter of a few hours."

'Oh god. Am I in one of those coma things again where I'm awake but can't speak or even move?'

I heard a door shut before someone grabbed my hand.

"Hey Lily."

'Gabe!'

"I hope you're doing okay."

'I am doing okay. Gabe I'm awake!'

I felt him kiss my hand before he let go of it.

'No please don't let go of me.'

I wanted to just reach over and grab Gabe and just kiss him, but I couldn't. I was stuck.

Well technically not stuck but that's the only appropriate word to use in this term.

What the hell why am I wasting time thinking about my grammar when I should be thinking about waking up.

I kept trying to wake up but my eyes just wouldn't open.

Damn it.

I then decided to got to sleep for a little bit. Cus technically I'm awake but ok not awake bu-

Oh my god Lily shut up!

I felt myself relax before finally falling asleep.

Gabe's POV

"How is she doing?" Nico asked.

"She's still asleep. But she's supposed to wake up soon." I said.

My dad set his hand on my back before I looked up at him.

"I'm worried about her." I said.

"I know. But this hospital is amazing and I know that she will be okay soon." He said reassuringly.

I nodded before putting my face in my hands.

"I need her to be okay." I whispered to myself.

I think Sofia was the only one who heard and she hugged me tightly.

"She'll be okay." Sofia whispered to me.

I wiped away a tear that fell down my cheek and sat up straight.

"You really love her." My dad said.

"More than I have any other girl." I said.

"And I fall in love with her more and more everyday." I said looking at her.

"She's been through so much." I said.

I then felt someone grab my hand. I looked over and saw that Nico had grabbed Lily's hand and set it in mine.

I smiled at him before he walked over to stand by my mom.

"We can only have two people in here at a time." A nurse said as she came in.

Everyone started walking out before I grabbed Sofia's hand.

"Please stay in here. You know her really well." I begged.

She smiled at me before sitting down and everyone left.

"Has she woken up yet?" The nurse asked.

"Not yet." I said.

She nodded her head before putting a new IV in Lily's arm and then walked out.
