I groaned as mom handed me the list of groceries to buy.

"Why can't you get Leon to do it?" I asked, dragging my feet lazily to the front door.

"I'm not quite sure if you've noticed dear, but Leon moved out three years ago." I huffed in annoyance, and put my converse shoes on angrily.

"Stupid lucky brother." I muttered childishly as I stood and opened the door.

"Here's money for the groceries, and a little extra so you can buy something for yourself." I smiled despite my feelings about going grocery shopping in winter, and gave her a hug.

"Thanks mom. Love you!" I called as I stepped out of the house.

"Love you too. Be careful!" I began my walk to the closest Wall-Mart near our house, and whistled a tune at random. I eyed the trees and shrubs that were covered in snow.

I love winter. I love being able to just wear a ton of clothes, look like a marshmallow crossed with an elephant, and not be judged.

"Hi, welcome to Wallmart!" I scoffed, rolling my eyes at the overly cheery lady that stood at the entrance, welcoming people.

I never understood the purpose of them, but whatever.

I strolled lazily down the aisles, looking for anything worth buying. I picked out a box of Lucky Charms, and put them in the small cart I was pushing around. I whistled loudly, getting disapproving looks from the other shoppers. I poked my tongue out at them, which caused a gasp to come out of their stupid mouths. I snickered, shaking my head.

"Ah, the joys of Wallmart." I continued my trek down the aisles, dragging my feet across the ground and leaning my weight on the cart. I entered the fresh produce section, looking over the list mom gave me whilst doing so. My cart bumped into something, which made me look up instantly.

"Shit." I hissed. "Sorry dude. Totally didn't see you there." I said to the guy who was glaring at the cart. He looked up at me, to which I smiled sheepishly, and gave a short wave. "I'll be going now." I said, moving around his body to get to the mushrooms.

I grinned, looking at the mushrooms that ranged from tiny, to ginormous. I love mushrooms. They're so cool. Like mini trees, except smoother, lankier and a hell lot tastier.

I began whistling again, bopping my head up and down. I could feel a gaze on the side of my head, and turned to see the guy I bumped into earlier looking at me. I raised an eyebrow, turning back to my beloved mushrooms.

"Weirdo." I muttered, putting a really large mushroom and a small one into the cart. I don't intend on eating them though. That's just mean. They deserve to live a life. A wondrous, mushroom filled life.

The shop was eerily silent. I looked around, surprised to see that not a single soul was around. Just a second ago there were people.

Weird...

I felt a hand drop on my wrist, and I looked up to see the guy that was staring at me before -and the guy I bumped into- holding my wrist firmly, a successful smile on his face. I think I heard him say 'mine' but that may have been my imagination.

"May I ask why you're touching me?" I asked, pulling my hand back. He kept his iron like hold on it though, as he eyed the eyebrow piercing on my face. He was looking disapprovingly at it, like his stare would make it disappear.

"That needs to go." He murmured. His voice was low, almost inaudible. He had a slight husky voice, which I'll admit, was a sucker for.

"Look dude, I don't know who you are, or what you want from me, but I need to buy these things and get home to my mom." I said, wincing slightly as his grip tightened the slightest bit. I think Mystery Greek God noticed this, because his hand loosened. "Awesome. Now if you let go completely..." I trailed off, looking pointedly at my wrist.

It didn't look like he was going to let go any day though, so I thought through what my next move was.

"Ok." I began, moving from foot to foot. "Plan B." I quickly brought my knee up to his 'sensitive area' and gave him a good strike. His hand loosened on my wrist, and I quickly ran away from him.

I left the groceries where they were, too preoccupied with the big guy that was chasing me. Why was he chasing me? Did I do something wrong? I mean, yeah I hit him with my cart, but that was an accident! And I apologized, so everything between us was good!

"Why are you chasing me?" I screamed, pushing out of the double doors. Where was the cheery welcoming lady?

He gave no answer though, as he continued chasing after me, getting dangerously close to catching me. I saw a few guys loitering around three black cars, smoking cigarettes.

Before I had time to think about it twice, I ran behind the biggest guy, scrunching his shirt into my fists as I breathed hard.

"There's a creepy guy trying to kidnap me!" I said, pushing him in front of me. The other guys thought this was hilarious, as they watched in amusement.

"Colton?" The guy I was hiding behind asked the Creepy Mysterious Greek God.

"Let her go." He said lowly, a hint of jealousy in his voice.

"No don't go! He's going kidnap me!" I said desperately, jumping onto his back. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and my legs around his torso, holding on for dear life.

"Whoa!" The guy said, wailing his arms around to keep himself steady. Creepy Mysterious Greek God scowled at the guy and I, taking menacing steps towards us.

Oh Jesus. This is how I die, isn't it?

"Please don't hurt me!" I said, dropping to the floor, and bundling myself up into a ball. Nothing around me moved or made a sound, which made me take a peek from my fingers. "Isn't this the part where you butcher me?" I asked, my voice small.

The guys around me laughed, while Creepy Mysterious Greek God looked at me in amusement.

"Trust me baby doll, the last thing I want to do is butcher you."

"He speaks!" I said, raising my arms for extra effect. The laughter around me seemed to rise as I stood from the floor.

"Dude, you got a good one!" The guy I jumped on said happily, patting Creepy Guy's back. I raised an eyebrow at them.

"Sorry, what?" I asked, looking around confusedly.

"She's human." Creepy Mysterious Greek God Guy said, looking me square in the eyes.

"Uh, yeah, and so are you." I said, crossing my arms. I turned to one of his friends, and pointed my head behind me. "He's special, isn't he?" I asked, shaking my head in mock-pity. The guys started laughing again, except for Creepy Guy, who had his eyes narrowed on me.

"Get her in the car." He said, walking to the driver's door. I widened my eyes, my smile dropping.

"Wait what? No! I need to get to my mom! Hey, this is illegal!" I screamed, kicking my legs around as two guys held onto my arms. "Let go of me!" I shouted, kicking them in the shin.

"Ow!" One said, letting go of my arm.

"Dude!" The other said, struggling to keep me in his grasp. I kicked him in the shin, and ran faster than Puffing Billy on crack, trying to get away from them.

I heard footsteps behind me, and turned to see all of the guys chasing after me.

Thanking the Lord right now that I was part of the track team in High School.

I ran further down the streets, almost sighing in relief when I saw my house coming into view.

"Mom!" I shouted. "Mom, open the doors!" My mom came out in a hurry, gasping when she saw me. "Mom, they're kidnapping me!" I screamed, feeling a hand latch onto my waist. Now I was in the air, kicking and screaming, watching helplessly as my mom cried for me, her hands shaking.

"Indie!" She called, her face hurt and helpless.

I was pushed into a car, which took off as soon as the doors were closed. My heart was beating fast, and the urge to cry was strong. The tears fell down my face, as I scrunched my body into a ball, cornering myself into the isolated part of the seat.

The Evil Creepy Mysterious Greek God extended a hand to me, trying to comfort me.

"Don't touch me!" I cried helplessly, cowering further into the corner. I pulled my hoody over my head, making sure it went all the way down to hide my face from him. He turned back in the seat, and continued to drive, his fists clenched.

I sniffed ferociously as I watched the small town that I lived in pass by. Soon we were on a dirt road, white trees the only thing in view.

Besides the Evil Greek God and myself, there were three other people in the car. Evil Greek God, or what was his name? Connor? Crate? Cult?

Colton. Ah.

Colton was driving, while the guy I jumped on sat in the front seat. There were two guys in the back seat with me, talking quietly. I scowled in front of me, hoping I could burn a hole in Colton's head. I began kicking his seat repeatedly, ignoring the low growl coming from him. What kind of person growls?

"Stop." He said lowly, glaring at the road in front of him. Did I listen to him?

Nope.

I continued kicking his seat, enjoying the annoyed expression on his face. That's what he gets for stealing me. I began whistling really loudly, trying my hardest not to smirk.

He stepped on the break harshly, his knuckles white as he clenched his hands on the steering wheel. I snickered, continuing to kick his seat.

Everyone was completely still, all except for my leg and Colton's back being pushed from my kicking.

"Lovely winter day, ain't it?" I said conversationally, looking out the window admirably. If they were going to kidnap me, I was going to give them hell. Trust me, I've watched a lot of movies in my 20 years of living. I know how these things work. You just gotta play along.

Colton's ragged breathing was the only thing I could hear, besides my foot hitting against the leather seat. He growled, and opened his door angrily, stomping off into the woods. The door slammed shut.

I raised an eyebrow, smiling happily.

I cracked him.

"Twas nice knowing you!" I called from the window, grinning as I set my legs on the head rest in front of me. The guy that was seated in the passenger seat scooted over to the driver's seat, and began driving again. I climbed into the passenger seat, grinning at him.

"Hi!" I said cheerily, grinning when we chuckled.

"Hi." He replied.

"I like you better. The other guy, Colton," I said childishly. "Is a douche." I smiled when the guys in the backseat laughed. I turned, grinning once I saw them.

"You guys are twins?" I asked, smiling as I looked them over. They both had messy brown hair, and green eyes that sparkled mischievously.

"Yeah. I'm Elijah." One said, extending a hand to me. I grinned and shook it.

"And I'm Aiden." The other said, extending his hand.

"I'm Indie." I replied, leaning my chin on my forearm. "Wanna tell me why you guys are kidnapping me?" I asked. They chuckled.

"Not kidnapping." They said together.

"Really?" I asked, raising my pierced eyebrow. "Then what is it? A get together I don't know about?"

"You'll find out soon enough." The guy in the front seat said. I turned to him, and crossed my legs.

"What's your name?" I asked, picking at my sweatpants. Mom had woke me up to go grocery shopping, so I was still wearing my black sweatpants, a fitted long sleeve white top, a sweatshirt and my grey beanie.

"Vincent." He replied, tapping his fingers rhythmically on the steering wheel.

"Well, Vincent. May I ask why you're friends with Colton the douche?" I asked, putting my feet up on the dashboard.

This whole kidnapping thing, or whatever it was, wasn't so bad. Well, when Colton wasn't here.

"He's loyal. A real good friend. We're practically brothers." He said, a small smile on his face. I nodded.

"Is he always a jerk?" I asked, grumbling under my breath.

"Look, I'm not gonna lie, he's a bit of an ass, but you can't blame him. A lot of shit has happened with his life." I nodded in understanding.

Maybe I should cut him some slack then?

Haha, hell no! That bastard kidnapped me!

"We're here." Vincent said, parking the car diagonally, and getting out of the car. I gaped at the house -no scratch that- mansion that stood in front of me. It was a light peach, almost white color, and was enormous. The windows and shutters were black, and from what I could see, so were the balconies. The railings were a polished black, with gold lining parts of it.

"Someone's rich." I muttered, not loud enough for anyone to hear.

"Wait till you see inside." Elijah -or Aiden, I didn't really know yet- said to me. My eyes widened slightly in surprise. I didn't expect anyone to hear that.

I walked behind Vincent, admiring the trees that were surrounding the house. They were covered in fluffy white snow, reminding me of the movie Edward Scissor hands, when Edward was shaving ice off the ice blocks and made snow.

I entered the house, and my jaw almost fell to the floor. The first thing that caught my eye was the massive crystal chandelier that was hanging beautifully from the ceiling. The walls were colored black, some of them white in different rooms. The ceiling was painted black as well, and was covered in different cursive words that were white.

Regret. Hope. Loss.

What kind of words were these?

"Whose house is this?" I asked, my voice clearly showing awe as I eyed the shiny tiles in another room.

I was admiring tiles. Wow.

"Mine." I looked up, watching as Colton walked through the front doors we just came in. I narrowed my eyes at him.

"I was hoping you got lost and was eaten by bears." I said bitterly, crossing my arms as he looked at me.

"Sorry to disappoint." He shot back.

"Let me go."

"No." He said.

"Let. Me. Go." I said again through clenched teeth.

"I. Said. No." I scowled at him.

"They will find me." I said, my eyes narrowed at him.

"No they won't." He said simply.

I noticed that Elijah, Aiden and Vincent weren't here anymore.

"I hate you. Let me leave!" I cried, exasperation taking over.

"Listen closely baby doll. You. Are. Never, I repeat, never, leaving this house." The harshness of his words hit me violently, and I could feel my eyes beginning to water.

Next thing I know, I'm locked in a bathroom, balled up like a fetus and crying my eyes out, with a very angry man banging his fists on the door.

I hate mushrooms.
