Bonnie was tying a passed out Kai up to a chair. He's not anything supernatural from what we can tell so far.

I can't believe Bonnie used magic. She has her magic back. We may have a shot of getting home. "Bonnie..that was amazing. Thank you." I said referring to her saving my life.

She shrugged. "No problem Lilly. Besides now that I've got my magic I can find us a way home." she said full of hope. She finished tying his hands and walked over to me.

"So what do you think about this guy?" she asked glancing at him for a moment. "I think you should untie him." Kia mumbled with his eyes closed in a high pitch voice.

I snapped my head to look at him. How long has he been awake? "By the way Lilly..ouch." he said normally again as he opened his eyes. I glared at him. Bonnie took a step back letting me take lead in the questioning.

"Ok douche you have about two seconds to tell me why I shouldn't rip your heart out and eat it in front of you." I threatened Damon style. I knew very well that was unlikely.

I'm new at this vamp thing and all but I know the basics. Flash some fangs and they'll be scared shitless. So I'm trying Damon's way.

"Well first off I'm pretty sure that would hurt and although that sounds kinky that would be very stupid on your part." He said smirking. I crossed my arms over my chest and rolled my eyes.

"And why would that be unwise? Sounds good to me." I asked. He cocked his head to the side and did this slight smile that in all honesty was adorable.

Now that he isn't trying to kill me and all I can get a good look at him. His hair was dark brown and his eyes were a blue-grey and he was quite attractive. But he's not a friend.

"Because I'm the only one who knows the spell to get us out of here." he said smugly. what? "Lilly..how can we trust him?" Bonnie asked from behind me.

"He's telling the truth." I told her hoping he was. Kai smiled at me and nodded. "Thank you. No one ever believes a guy who just a few hours ago tried to kill them. People are so sensitive." he ranted.

"Shut up." I ordered. He stopped talking but kept looking at me with this adorable grin. "Why did you try to kill me?" I asked raising my brow at him curiously.

He kept that stupid adorable grin on. "I've been watching you two since you got here and I knew what would trigger Bonnie's magic. She's a loyal witch. I just had to give her a little push. I was never really going to kill you Lilly." he explained.

The whole time I was listening to his heart. He wasn't lying. I heard Bonnie walk over to me and stand next to me. "So all that was just a test?" she asked suspiciously. He nodded. "Yup." he said simply popping the 'P'. "Why?" I asked not buying why he would want her to have magic."Well Lilly I thought you would have figured this one out. Her magic is the key to get out of here." he admitted.

Bonnie looked at me and it was as if she was asking me through a look if I believe him. I was listening to his heart..and he wasn't lying. I nodded and she looked back at him. "Okay. So now that we've got that out of the way. Lilly would you untie me so we can go home?" he asked smirked.

"Wait. What's the spell?" Bonnie asked. Kai moved his gaze from me to her. "All in good time." he said firmly. Bonnie nodded and I walked over and untied him. He let out a deep breath and looked at me with the same adorable smirk.

"Thank you." he said never braking eye contact. I glared. "The spell?" I asked again. He rubbed his wrist and stood up.

"Later but first we need to harness the power of the daily eclipse using a mystical relic called an ascendant." He said as if I understood. I turned and walked back over to Bonnie.

"And how the hell do we find this...ascendant?" I asked trying to say it right. I turned back once I was closer to Bonnie. He smirked at me. "The last time anyone saw one was in Oregon." he said. "Oregon?" Bonnie questioned. "Yeah it kind of belonged to my family." He said added.

Bonnie nodded. "Let me guess. We need a locator spell?" I asked. He smiled again. "Beauty and brains. I like it. It's sexy." he flirted. I ignored his comment. I listened to his heart. "Do we need a locator spell?" I asked again.

He studied me for a moment. "Yes we need it." He answered. I heard his heart. "Liar.." I mumbled. I looked him over and noticed a small lump in his jacket. He has an inside pocket in his jacket.

"Excuse me?" he asked looking at me with amusement. Bonnie looked at me also confused. I sighed and walked over to him and touched were the lump was. "You're lying." I repeated louder and pressed my hand against the lump harder.

He looks down at my hand with amusement. I removed my hand and he reached inside his pocket and pulled out a weird looking device. The ascendant? Has to be.

"Oh well would you look at that." he said clearly still amused. I backed away again closer to Bonnie. "And why wouldn't you just tell us that?" Bonnie asked crossing her arms.

"It was suppose to be another test. Don't worry about ruining it though Lilly. Since I got to feel your hand on my chest I forgive you." he said not giving up on the flirting.

I rolled my eyes. I'll admit he was cute and has a way with words but since he just tried to kill me and all I don't exactly see me trusting him anytime soon. Besides boys aren't my main focus at the moment. Getting us home is.

"Any other mind games you wanna tell us about?" I asked listening to his heart. "Not right now anyway." He said knowing I would know if he lied. "Now then on to the next step." he said and walked past us heading for the door.

I used my vamp speed to block the door with my arms crossed. "Where do you think you're going?" I asked. "looking for the right spot to channel the power of the eclipse..well I would be if I were outside." he said doing that adorable smile thing. He held his hand out for the ascendant. I gave it to him and glared.

"No funny business Kai." I said firmly. He nodded. "From me? Never." He said amused.

I moved out of his way and he smirked as he walked past me. I watched him walk outside holding the ascendant up looking crazy as hell. Bonnie walked over to me. "Told you we would find a way home." she said beaming with happiness.

I smiled and nodded. For the first time since I've been here I felt something new. Something I seriously was lacking before this discovery.

Hope.
