"Okay I'll believe what you want."

"You know what-"

Ring Ring Ring

My phone vibrates causing me to snap my head towards my phone.

I'm surprised I didn't break my neck.

"Pick it up." Kara ushers and I shake my head. Grabbing my phone she answers it. "Hello this is Evie's phone Kara speaking."

Oh my god.

"Uh huh. Yeah she's available to talk. Oh, that's nice I think she'll agree." I move trying to take the phone from her. "It's funny cause we just so happen to be talking to you right now."

Stop talking Kara. Stop.

"Here you are." She turns holding the phone out for me with a bright smile on her face.

'Fuck you' I mouth towards her.

Rolling her eyes she motions for me to take it and I do.

"This is Evie speaking." I start off.

"Having your friend pick up your phone you?"

"I-huh-I ummm"

"It's okay, but now that I have you on the phone I want to see you."

"Oh really."

"I had a good time yesterday and I haven't had fun in a while so-"

"I highly doubt that." I him off.

"Doubt what exactly?"

"I doubt that you haven't had fun in a while." I say putting emphasis on the word fun.

He doesn't answer.

I knew it.

Womanizer.

"Did you just call me a womanizer?"

Crap. I said that out loud?

"Yes,you did."

Dammit I did it again.

"And again."

"Shut up okay."

"Whatever as I was saying, I haven't had fun in a while till yesterday and I want to continue to have fun......with you."

My heart. There it goes increasing. Dammit and that feeling in my stomach. I look frantically towards Kara as she sits waiting patiently.

"Oh?"

"I'll pick you up."

"You don't even know where I live."

"Babe, everyone in the state of New York knows where you live."

Control. Remember keep control.

"I don't know any babe here but I do know my name's Evie so you better get comfortable with it."

I shift gaze to Kara whose looking at me impressed with my choice of statement.

"I'll pick you Saturday, Evangeline." He says before hanging up on me.

Was it already cold in here or did he just give me shivers?

The way he said it.

I look to Kara and she's looking at me expectantly with her eyes wide with anticipation.

"Well?"

"Well I'm getting picked up on Saturday."

"Ahh." She screams getting up from my bed and towards my closet. "Come on we have to find something for you to where. Where is he taking you? What time is he picking you? Is it a date?"

I chuckle at her excitement.

"Slow speedy Gonzales all he said was that he's picking me up. I still have a week."

"Okay I'll drop by on Friday, I have some samples from a showroom I want to show you, okay?"

I nod walking over to where she's standing and lean against a chair.

"Can we watch Hulu now?"

"Yes, we can. What do you want to watch?" She asks giggling.

"Anything but romance."
