Chapter 4

Hi guys here's the next chspter enjoy.

We met other giants and spoke for hours. It turns out they were not much different from us, well except they couldn't read, write, draw, they didn't know how to make fire therefore couldn't cook, they couldn't build, yeah ok they were very different from us. we did establish that maybe there was no mention of giants because any evidence there would've been would have been destroyed by the dinosaurs, we had the caves but we always thought they were natural, we even had our own theory of how they were formed with erosion, I liked this adventure as there was no running involved and I was learning amazing history that no one back home would ever believe, I would be back in the asylum in a blink of an eye if I ever mentioned that giants were a real part of history. The doctor wasn't annoyed anymore, like me, he was fascinated.

It was time to go and we left after a string of goodbyes I was amazed that the TARDIS hadn't been trampled on but the doctor went on to explain that the TARDIS had this safety feature where, if it detected danger, it would leave, it would actually teleport away until it was safe to come back. Amazing.

"So where to?" The doctor asked

"I want to see the future, my future" I had thought about this for some time now, "I want to see where I am three years into my future"

"No, it can't happen, you can't travel down your own time line, it could create a time paradox if you saw yourself"

"No, no, no you don't understand" I began holding my hands up as if to surrender "I won't go out there, I'll stay here, you go out and investigate, I promise I'll stay right here" I was being honest I really had no interest in going out there, I just wanted to find out what happens to me. The doctor nodded and I shrieked before hugging him excitedly.

He went over to the controls and pushed a few buttons, then pulled a lever and we were off the TARDIS whirred, shook and then landed with a thud. The doctor went towards the door then turned to look at me, what? Had he changed his mind?

"Remember, stay here" he warned pointing at the ground, I nodded asking him with my eyes to trust me he left satisfied with my answer.

I waited for him, I paced the control room, being careful not to touch anything, I took a tour of the TARDIS by myself I also found a library, there were books here on his former companions, Rose Tyler, Martha Jones, Donna Noble, even Amy and Rory Pond I was fascinated. I loved reading it was my passion, so I read about Rose first, I was reading about their adventure during a blitz, Rose was hanging in the air wearing an England top, a top the doctor had told her not to wear, but she hadn't listened, and now she was regretting it. I was laughing at this point, when suddenly the door to the library opened behind me, I turned in my seat to see the doctor. My eyes were still watery due to laughing so much

"What's wrong?, why are you crying?" The doctor asked, I shook my head and held the book up

"Rose" was all I said he lifted his head in acknowledgment then he laughed too, he came and sat in a chair next to me and took the book from my hand, he turned it in his hand

"Rose" he said sadly, for about three minutes we sat in total silence, he played with the book but didn't open it

"What happened to her?" I asked breaking the silence he looked at me with a smile and scoffed a little, he handed me the book

"Spoilers" he said then stood and left the room, I heard him going downstairs, I was just about to open the book and carry on reading when I suddenly remembered something, I put the book down, and also left the room, I went down to the control room, the doctor was at the control panel checking something,

"So what happened?, out there, I mean" I pointed towards the door with my hand he took a deep breath

"You're missing" he started, putting his hands in his trouser pockets, and sticking his chin out "after the fire they couldn't find you, or your remains, some think you're dead, some think you escaped" I walked back three steps and sat on the stairs putting my head in my hands, I cried, this was insane, I wasn't dead, I was right here "if you want to go back now or after the fire I will take you Zoe, all you have to do is ask" I looked deeply into his eyes, and saw nothing but sincerity, I leaned forward and I hugged him, I hugged him tight and cried even more.
