Sophie POV
2 weeks later...
Seriously? I thought when I watched Maximon try to cuddle with Annabeth. It was hard to concentrate when two people who should not sit beside each other sit beside each other.
I just took my fury out on the hay dummy in the arena, slashing, stabbing, slicing, and hacking. I wonder what Percy would do when he finds out...
After beating up the dummy to shreds, I, too, was beat. I took a long, nice shower, and changing into a camp tank top and shorts, went to visit Nico di Angelo. I became good friends with him, specially bonding over Mythomagic.

I entered Nico's cabin quietly. He was reading a book and hadn't noticed me yet. I smirked. Getting ready...
I suddenly placed my hands on his back, and screamed into his ear as loud as I could, "BOO!!"
He squealed like a little girl, dropping his book to the floor with a thud. He placed a hand on his racing heart, finally turning to me.
I was laughing so much that tears were trailing down my face. I was rolling on the floor laughing (ROTFL XD) and was starting to have cramps. "You should've seen your face! I should've taken a picture!"
Nico was pouting playfully. Aww, that's so cute! I mentally slapped myself for thinking that. We were cousins, after all, but didn't Zeus and Demeter have Persephone? They were siblings. Ugh, baaaad mental image.
Anyway.
"Jeez, Sophie-" OMFG, I so totally love the way my name rolls off his tongue - "you didn't have to do that!"
I chuckled. "Sorry Nic, I couldn't resist."
"Anyway, what did you want to talk about?"
"How did you know?" I asked, surprised.
"Soph, you never really come to just visit me. You just talk most of the time."
As he said those words, I blushed. "Actually, this was actually supposed to be a visit, but there are important matters we have to discuss,", I said.
His expression immediately turned serious. I knew that this was business.
"I'm just worried, Nico. Maximon's been getting closer to Annabeth. What will Percy do if he finds out? Oh, he's gonna be so mad at me. Holy shit, what if he gets so mad and he'd tell Dad and Dad will get mad and he'll disown me? Oh what should I do? Ugh. Sorry for being such a bother, Nico. I'm just sooo stressed. "
To my surprise, he came over and hugged me. I shivered because of the intense sparks that flew. He must have felt it too, but quickly masked it. "Yeah, I know, Soph. Maximon looks like he's up to no good, by getting closer to Annabeth. Maybe he just wants the fame. It's ok though, just chill."
He paused before saying, "Oh, and by the way, Dad wants to see you. Maybe we can go visit him when Perce gets back. "
I grinned. Hades was an awesome uncle. He gave me the power to shadow travel and become invisible, because I got him gifts for his birthday 3 years in a row. Also Christmas gifts. He was surprised at first, but gave me those powers. "Sure Nico. Thanks so much."
We sat in silence. I was mulling over my crush on Nico. He was 3 years younger than Percy, who was four years older than me, making a 1 year gap between us. So Percy was 20, he was 17, and I was 16. I found him handsome, though. His hair was slightly longer than Percy ' s hair, had intense charcoal eyes, and a nicely built body. Quite tall, not too muscly, and not too lanky. Great characteristics, too. Understanding, funny, kind, sympathetic, and a great listener. All in all, he was great.
I snapped out of my daze when Nico said, "Sophie? Hey Sophie? Sophieee? "
"Huh? Oh yea, what Nico?"
"Um, nothing. You just seemed, in a daze there earlier. "
"Oh." I glanced over at the clock and yelped, "Gods! It's already 10:15! I have to go. The harpies will catch me."
"You can stay here if you want,", Nico immediately said. He blushed and said, "No-no, I meant I can sleep on the couch and you can sleep on the bed. We won't sleep together." He rambled on.
"It's nice of you to think about me. Quite a tempting offer actually. Maybe some other time," and I mentally smacked my self. Seriously Sophie? Next time?
And before I could think about what I was doing, I pressed my lips to his thin yet warm ones. I moved back, blushing like hell, and murmured, "Goodnight Nico", before running out of his cabin.

Nico POV
I had always liked Sophie. With her angelic voice, amazing body, and sweet personality, how could I not? I wanted to ask her out, I was just too shy. I was also afraid Percy would get mad at me. But Holy Hera, she's awesome. She didn't judge me for being a child of Hades. She even said it was cool! My father likes her so much that he gave her the power to shadow travel and become invisible.
Anyway. Long story short. She barges in my cabin, startles me, and starts ranting .
But to comfort her, I wrapped my arms around her and sighed when I felt the sparks fly. I think she felt it too, because she became like putty in my arms. Then, I offer her to come with me to visit Father, she agrees, then spaces out. I get her attention by repeatedly saying her name. Then she looks at the clock, I offer her to stay but she politely declines, but says, "Maybe some other time", then.
She. Kisses. Me. On. The. Lips.
I nearly melted when she pecked me. I was too shocked to do anything, my mind racing. But sadly, she pulls away, murmurs goodnight, and runs put of my cabin. What had just happened?
