Day 24, Entry #4
I feel so good right now! My first visit with SCP 049 went great, besides falling over my own clumsy self twice...
But! That's besides the point...
"Yo, Quinn!"
...I mean, it was awesome! I've never felt so at ease talking to anyone like that before... And I think he was having fun talking to me as well, I couldn't tell, I was distracted by his accent... And his eyes were absolutely gorgeous...
"Paging Dr. Quinn, *ksssh* Calling Dr. Quinn, the reality ward needs your attention..."
...it was so cute, I think he kinda let his nerd side show when we talked about books...
"QUINN!"
The brunette finally pulled her nose from her journal and looked at her friend. "Hmm?"
Treble folded her arms. "Finally, I've been trying to get your attention for the last thirty minutes", she said, plopping down on her bed next to Quinn.
It was late in the day and Quinn didn't have anything else better to do, so she'd decided to hang around in SCP Treble's cell. A nice, quiet place to write, besides Treble prying for her attention, about what had happened earlier. Then daydream about it for the rest of the day.
Treble peered over Quinn's shoulder at her journal. "Whatcha writin' about?" She asked curiously.
"I'm writing a story, it's called the chronicles of nun-ya." Stirling answered and shut her journal, placing her pencil behind her ear. She hugged it close to her chest.
"Was it about a 'boy'?" The monochrome SCP laid her head in the doctor's lap and gazed up at her. She reached up and poked her cheek, eliciting a smile from the stone-faced girl. "Theeere it is, c'mon, let's hear it."
Quinn suddenly stopped herself, and thought, 'I can't tell her about me and SCP 049, can I?...
Wait! Why do I think we have a 'thing'!? Oh...'
Quinn took a deep breathe. This anxiety thing wasn't doing her any justice. She made a note to ask the higher ups if she could get better medication for herself. Lord knows she'd need it here.
"Alright." She began, sighing, "Have you been down to the bottom level of this place?"
Treble straightened up, looking like a curious cat. "Yeah. Is that where they put you today?"
"Yes, and... Well, I...", Quinn trailed off. 'Here it goes...'
"I met someone."
She was hiding her blush as best she could until two hands squished up her face and nearly snapped her neck angling it up. "Shut up! They finally let you talk to that old bird?" Treble asked, excited.
"Um... Yes?" The brunette answered. "And that hurt."
The monochrome girl kept a smile as shook the startled doctor. "That's absolutely perfect!" She screamed.
Quinn was let out of her friend's death squish and the SCP began telling her all about what 035 had told her about his friend down in the basement. The doctor listened, but a lot of it became mindless droning in the background as her thoughts returned to the underground, back to 049. There was just something that she couldn't seem to get over about this man she had just met. His eyes, his voice, even his mere presence - they all had a certain calming effect on her. At least this is what she believed it was. In that moment, she wondered if the SCP might be dealing with some of the same problems she was...
