Dom and Letty

Goodbye Dom

The team had been home for a couple of months now, they were all so happy to be back all together. Letty still couldn't remember anything but every now and then she would have a flash back in her mind but wouldn't say anything to anyone. Letty and the guys had decided to go to the garage for the first time since being back, they all got in their cars and drove off following Dom. They pulled up,

"who wants to do the honours?" Dom asked and the boys all pushed Letty forward, she grabbed the old chain and pulled and pulled making the door fly open all the way to the top. They were all amazed, it was amazing. They all walked in and searched around, Letty and Dom walked up to where Letty's old tool box, she couldn't remember it,

"open it!" Dom said, Letty walked up the it and opened the top of it and she stared at her name printed in red, she turned to Dom and something came back to her. She saw Leon, Jesse and Vince standing in front of the tool box, Letty went dizzy and fell into Dom's arms,

"Letty..... Letty are you ok?" she shook her head, he picked her up and sat her on the couch that was in his office, he gave her a bottle of water and she sat up,

"Letty whats wrong?" Dom asked,

"nothing, just a head ache," she lied and walked out and went back to the tool box, the others had picked a station each and brought in their cars and started to work on them. Letty walked out and stood against her car just getting some fresh air, Dom stood on the frame of the door and looked at Letty, he knew something was wrong he could see it in her. Then he had an idea, he walked back into the garage and gathered all the boys and went into the office,

"who wants to go to the desert?"

"the desert, you crazy man?" Roman asked

"I ain't crazy, were going to the desert for a special reason!" Dom stated,

"whats that?" Tej asked, Brian knew exactly why they are going to the desert,

"race wars!" Dom said, they all said yeah, "don't tell Letty, it's a surprise!" they boys agreed.

Dom persuaded Letty to get in the car without knowing where she was going, Brian picked Mia up and they were all on their way to Race Wars.

They entered the desert and Letty was getting confused,

"cummon Dom, where you guys taking me?"

"they say an open road helps you think, about where you've been, where your going!" Dom said, "so you don't remember any of this?" Dm asked,

"its not fair Dom, you know I don't. so cummon where you taking me?" Letty asked,

"there!" Dom said pointing to Race Wars,

"we used to come here?" Dom chuckled,

"come here, we invented it!" Letty laughed, she couldn't wait. They continued to drive and finally came to stop, then the whole of race wars stopped and turned, nobody could believe it Toretto was back, everyone cheered and went back to what they were doing. Letty couldn't believe it, this was amazing.  She felt so alive, the races, the dancing, the music really got her adrenaline up high. Letty wanted to race. She turned to Dom, he could see the excitement in her face, he smiled at her and her face lit up, he handed her the keys and she ran to the car and got inline. It was weird, all the cars in front went to the side and let Letty go through as if they wanted her at the front and before she knew it she was on the line. She sat staring at her quarter mile lane, until she herd foot steps behind her,

"keep her under 900 rpm, the kids gonna fry his piston rings half way through the race!"

"but, I gotta ride or die right?" then the young girl walked up to centre stage,

"how about you just ride for this one!" Dom said before walking away and watching from behind with a crowd. The girl looked dead on at Letty,

"Ready?" Letty revved her engine,

"steady?" The guy next to her revved his engine,

"GO!" The girl shouted and they were off, Letty and the guy were neck and neck. Letty kept an eye on her speed making sure she didn't got past 900, then the guys car swirled out of control and Letty crosses the finish line with a clear win. Letty drove back, smiling and Dom picked her up from her waist and span her round, Letty herd something in her mind, it was Dom's voice,

"you're my trophy!" she saw something, Dom was holding her spinning her around. She came back to the normal image of race wars. Dom put her back on the ground and she stumbled into his arms before standing up and feeling fine again,

"you ok?" Dom asked, Letty nodded, she wondered further into the crown getting handshakes, cheers and high fives, then she cam to a girl in a pink and black jacket,

"hey, there's the girl iv heard so much about. Where you been Ghost Girl?" Those words rang through Letty's mind, someone came up behind her and picked her up, Letty got a shock and saw images of the accident and the hospital she was taken to, she made his grip loosen she turned and punched Hector in the face, before running to the car and driving off. The team were all in shock, Dom knew something was really wrong. 

Letty drove for hours and it soon got dark, she drove all over before deciding where to go. Dom had left race wars with the gang and gone home, he decided to leave Letty for a while and it started getting dark, so he left and drove off to find Letty exactly where he thought she would be. He picked up his sledge hammer and walked up behind her, she herd him.

"you know, the first time I saw this I thought It was kind of funny. But I guess now the jokes on me huh?" she said looking at her 'grave' then turning to Dom, with sorrow in her expression. Dom felt so upset inside to see her like that, he had been in love with this girl for as long as he could remember even when he was without her she was still there right in the centre of his beating heart.  He walked towards the gravestone and went to smash right through it, but he felt Letty's touch on his chest,

"what are you doing?" Letty asked her hands still clutching his chest,

"what I should have done a long time ago!" He said going to swing again, but her touch made him feel so warm inside, his stomach tingled from her touch,

"stop it, just look at it Dom." he dropped the hammer and wrapped his arms around her, when he let go they looked at the gray stone, "it's the truth, that's the day I lost my memory, that's the day Letty died and I was born!" she had tears in her eyes looking dead into his,

"no, don't say that, you never died!" Dom said,

"Dom listen to me, iv tried so hard and I got nothin'.."

"you got me!" Dom said knowing what was happening,

"and you got only a piece of me, you need everything and I can't give that to you. I'm sorry Dom, I have to find myself!" Letty said tears almost running down her face like a flood, she leaned up to Dom connecting her lips with his before parting it,

"goodbye Dom!" Letty said before walking away, Dom watched the love of his life leave before quickly running after her. He grabbed her arm and pulled her away from her car and closing the door of the charger. Letty leaned against her car looking up at Dom,

"you are all I want, you are all I need because your to precious for me to let go of you to let go that easy. I can't let you go Letty, I need you. When I'm not with you I feel like my heart has stopped beating, like someone has just ripped it out of my chest, you are the one person in this whole messed up world that completes me. I still love you Letty, I always have and I always will no matter how much you push me away, I will push ten times harder until you stop!" Letty had Goosebumps all over her body, "you can't run from this because you know I'm only going to chase you until you slow down and I can have you back in my arms forever with me which is where you belong!" Dom said, he really wanted to place his lips on Letty's but didn't just in case it wasn't the right time, Letty stopped leaning off her car and stood with Dom holding his hands, it killed her to say this after everything he had just said,

"I'm running a marathon Dom, I'm not finished running. I have to finish the race to find myself to remember," Dom couldn't believe this was happening, "goodbye Dominic Toretto," Letty said getting in the car and driving away, tears streaming down her face. Dom sat on the curb for a while just thinking about everything, not having Letty with him killed him more then anyone could imagine.
