I woke up the next day to a beam of light shining through my eyelids. I slowly peel open my eyes to see my light blue curtains had a very small opening in them that let light shine through and directly into my eyes where I was sleeping. I groan as I get out of my comfy bed and move to close my curtains, but tripping over my bag that I forgot to put away yesterday in the process. I let out a scream as my hands catch my body before my face hits the ground and my eyes open really wide.

'Well, I'm awake now.' I thought. I lift my hand up and I grab onto the edge of the bed to help pull my clumsy ass off the ground. I look around and everything around me was a blurry mess. I forgot that I didn't have my glasses because they were broken and I didn't sleep in my contacts because I've heard enough horror stories about how that ends up.

I rummage through the smaller boxes of my stuff and after 15 minutes of searching I still couldn't find my spare pair of glasses. I always save my older glasses in case something like this happens. I search the last small box and of course they were in there at the very bottom in their case. You always find the things you need in the last place you look for them. I take the case in my hand and I grab the first shirt and pair of pants I see in the first big box I open. I head to the small shower attached to the bedroom and strip off my clothes that I didn't change from the other day.

I clean up in the steamy shower and dry off quickly. I change into a black tank top with a blue sleeveless flannel over it and dark blue skinny jeans. Before I leave my room, I hook the necklace Luke gave me around my neck and adjust it so it's facing forward. I walk out of the bathroom and pass my clock on the nightstand by my bed to see it's 11 o'clock.

"I'm up earlier than usual today." I say to myself out loud. Knowing McKayla won't be up for another hour, I leave my room start to make breakfast, well more brunch actually, for myself and her when she gets up. I grab everything I need from her pantry and fridge and make simple bacon and scrambled eggs. The second I start cooking the bacon, I hear a door open up and out walks a freshened up McKayla. Her short hair, except for her fringe, was combed out and seemed freshly dyed, fuchsia to be exact. The hair color faded from the water of her shower. Her tan skin was smooth looking and I think she lost a little weight while I was gone because her curves seemed slightly less round. Her curves were definitely still there and they weren't going to be gone any time soon, but I prefer her with them because it gives her character. She walks out in a sports bra and a pair of boxers she got from her slightly younger brother.

"Hey, get your ass over here and grab your breakfast before I eat it." I say, serving her bacon and eggs on one of her plates I grabbed from her kitchen.

"I love how you say 'before I eat it' when most people would say 'before it gets cold.' I'm not complaining though because I've missed your home cooking." She says back to me, sitting down at the kitchen island to grab her plate of food.

"That's the only reason you missed me. Just because I made you food all the time." I sit in the vacant seat next to her with my food on my own plate.

"So," Mckayla starts, "after we're done with your delicious food, we're going shopping."

"Woah woah woah," I put down my fork and look at her knowing that she knows that I don't like going shopping. "I'm sorry, did you say shopping?"

"Yep, and I'm dragging you along because we're going shopping for something specific, for me and you, but mostly you."

"What could I possibly need? I just got here yesterday for Christ's sake." She looks me in the eyes and smirks before saying, "Lingerie."

"I'm sorry say WHAT?!" I shout staring at her in disbelief.

"I'm not saying it again. You heard me and that's what we're going to do."

"Why do I, of all people, need lingerie?! Again, I just got off the damn plane yesterday."
