"A moment is all enough to change it off track."

10, May, 2016,

Malhotra Mansion,

Anderi, Mumbai

The sun rays seeped through my room to signify a start of new dawn. Another day passes by right through my eye, making me realize that life rolls on to never wait or understand what you're going through at the time.

My sleepy self was far more practical and rational than my awake self. It wanted me to stop being philosophical for it wanted to catch up sleep and continue that dream. 'You barely made it to bed by 5 a.m. in the morning. Now, you need more sleep. Don't dare to move, get back to sleep.' It chided.

The curtains of my room are too fragile and flimsy. The catch the rays of sunshine right toward them and it's really annoying when you're trying to sleep over the day.

I had an over-duty yet again. I stayed in my office for almost all night. After pulling an all-nighter, anybody would wish to sleep in the whole day.

I had to tell mom to change the curtains into something of a thicker material.

Point noted. Now, let's get back to sleep.

A shrill voice woke me up from my semi-daze.

I cringed. I was trying to sleep. The world is determined to give me no solace. Now, who really?

I crawled through my bed to reach my bedside table where I place my phone and looked at my called Id, which read as Rita; Rita, as in my secretary? Why call me now?

"Rita?" I almost barked down the phone.

" Sonal, we are in fix."

Yes, I go on first name basis with my employee and I feel that helps in building a great relationship and business loyalty. But before that, what that fix is really is, in reality?

" What now?"

"You've an appointment with our new client. They've just become a client now and seem to a great fan of you. Diya is covering your place, but they're eager to meet you."

"Can't it wait?"

My bed is calling me, Rita, understand. I wanted to add, but I didn't.

" That maybe can. But, you remember Mrs. Kaur that is arranging her daughter's wedding. Now, wants to book Wedding Blues. It's at such a short notice. Apparently she is- well, she is inspired by the wedding you arranged for Aditya Singh."

Rita was hesitant for she knew all this is only bound to open old wounds right on my face. I had turned into a workaholic immersing myself into my work and weddings that inspired so much, earlier, don't hold that much appeal any away. I knew I lost a part of me that was so dear and I've done all the running away and hiding, but a girl can do only this much. Many five months is really a great amount of time to act and I can't keep adding emotional baggages and keep carrying a heavy heart forward.

" Rita, I'll manage. I'll be down on work by" I paused to check the time, " Say 10 p.m, which is one hour by now. I'll try to reach earlier."

"We;ll manage till then. Just don't rush. It'd be if we meet caterers and decorators. We can brief in all the weddings that they need to juggle. We can use the presentation that you made yesterday. How about we hold the conference before lunch?"

" Wouldn't it be a short notice."

"Well, they're in stand-by, anyway"

"Good then, make it that way. I'd also like to meet the designers and florist. Arrange the details."
