First and Last

Character Summaries

      Lana is in the musical as Mrs. Potts. She is very outgoing and sweet and has a lot of friends. She is known in 8th grade sometimes as the Pastor's Kid. She helped Jayden ask Selena out. Lana is very musically gifted. She is in the theatre, in choir, band playing clarinet with Selena, and also in jazz band playing alto saxophone and she plays piano outside of school. Lana tends to be very sarcastic and can act very strangely depending on her mood…. especially in Band Class with Selena (;  but is very reliable for school gossip because she knows almost everyone. She has 1st Period Geometry and 4th Period Advanced Reading with Selena.

4.      Parker Bane: A Main/supporting Character

            Parker is about 5 feet 2 inches tall. She has a lanky, athletic frame, is quite the tomboy, and rarely - if ever - wears dresses or skirts. Her thick, cropped hair hasn't been trimmed or cut since the beginning of the year and she has thin rimmed glasses to frame her green/hazel colored eyes. Her smile is more of a smirk and is studded with braces.

            Parker is a fun-loving, sarcastic friend of Selena's. She always knows the right things to say and knows the most racist jokes. She is very outgoing and her childish laugh is contagious. She can go from being caring to insensitive and sometimes takes sarcasm just a bit too far. Parker's mother is the librarian of Selena's little brother's school. That is part of the story of how they met. Parker also helped in getting Selena and Jayden together. Her and Selena both deal with Lana's random mood swings throughout the day. Parker plays the baritone in band class, in jazz band, and also in the Musical Pit Band. She has 1st Period Geometry with Selena.

5.      Calleigh Overland (pronounced Kah-lee, not like Kaylee …lol ^_^ ) : A Main Character

            Calleigh is very slender and a bit on the petite side. She is about 5 feet 3 inches tall and has medium length black hair that goes down to about her chest. Calleigh, being of Asian heritage, has small, brown almond shaped eyes and a small heart-shaped face and a sweet smile to match (also with braces).

            Calleigh is one of Selena's more dramatic friends. She is very sarcastic, sometimes judges people, and often says things that shouldn't come out of her mouth. She, along with Selena, Daniel Williams, and Rena Bond often have long FaceBook chats that waste their homework and study time and often result in getting about 5 hours or less, or sleep every night. Over the course of Selena and Jayden's relationship, and through the troubles that come with it, Calleigh and Selena become much closer friends than before. Calleigh plays violin in the school's orchestra as well in the school's advanced orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra. She doesn't have any classes with Selena.

6.      Daniel Williams (You should know how to pronounce this one (; haha): A Main Character

            Daniel Williams stands at about 5 feet 3 inches tall. He has thick (luscious xD ) brown hair and blue-gray eyes to compliment. He is lean and a bit skinny, but very active.     

            At first glance, Daniel may seem like a somewhat awkward, shy person, but once you get to know him, he can be quite the opposite. Though most of the time very quiet, the moment he opens up to you, as Selena finds, you'll realize you were wrong. Selena finds Daniel's friendship very useful during this time in her life. Daniel is a great friend and often knows just what to say to cheer people up. With Selena's, Calleigh's, his, as well as Rena's antics to deal with, Daniel always seems to have his hands full. Because he is such a good friend and gives such good advice, many people come to him for help. Daniel often has to serve as the bridge between Selena and Jayden at times because of Selena's timid personality and Jayden's obliviousness. Daniel is in  the orchestra as well as the Chamber Orchestra with Calleigh, and he plays the viola.  He has 2nd Period Advanced Writing and 4th Period Advanced Reading with Selena.
