So I (Foxfyre) feel this deserves an explanation. This is the game that, prior to getting out tech, consumed Wolf's and my life. It was probably when we were seven or eight when we came up with this, sitting in the climbing tree in Wolf's backyard, when I said something along the lines of "Hey, Wolf (I actually used her real name, but, well, you know...) I came up with a great idea for a game that we can play anywhere, even if we don't have toys!" I proceeded to tell her my idea, which was along the lines of I come up with an issue, and Wolf had to solve it. (I'll give instructions for anyone else interested below) Once Wolf had solved it, I came up with another conflict, and she came up with another solution. We spent nearly every moment of our free time doing this.

Until roughly three years later, we were introduced to our iPod touches, and through them, Minecraft PE, which replaced the talking game. And then we got our laptops a few years later, and the talking game was even further removed from our minds.

Until now, where, upon creating this co-op wattpad account, I saw the perfect opportunity to restart it.

How to play the talking game

things needed:

- a person with an amazing ability to create imaginary conflicts, and has a good way of communicating.

- a person who is incredibly good at solving insane imaginary conflicts, and has a good way of communicating.

How to Play:

So it starts with the 1st person coming up with the beginning conflict. For Wolf and I, it's always me, starting with something along the lines of "You wake up in a forest with nothing but a pocket knife, a waterbottle, and..." etc, anything else I feel like giving her.

The second person would then give their response. A good example would be "I'd climb up a tree, and look around."

The first person would then say something along the lines of "Okay, once at the top of the tree, you look around. You see endless forest expanding in every direction, except for, far to the north, the ominous black mountain that seems to claw at the sky."

From there, the second person would give their response to that, and the first person would go on from there, etc, etc. It's more or less an awesome chose-your-own-adventure type thing.

Now, this here, that Wolf and I are posting will be a little different. Every few chapters, say, ten or so, You, the readers, will have a chance to influence what happens to Wolf. You'll usually have around three choices, either forcing Wolf into a situation (my part) or forcing Wolf's response to the situation (Her part) popular vote wins, and the next chapter will start on that.

Either way, should you decide to play the talking game, I think, you'll have a lot of fun!

And now, it's time to start!

_____

You wake up in a forest, with no memory of how you got there, no memory of what you are doing there, no memory even of your life prior to that moment. Just one minute, blackness, and the next, you become aware of the fact that you're lying on your back, on slightly damp leaves, staring up at the sky between the branches of leaf covered trees.

I stand up and look around.

First thing you notice is the piece of paper, which appears to have writing on it, stuck to a tree via a knife that has a blade at least 4 inches long. There's a blue backpack sitting under it. Next thing you notice is, a bit to the left, sitting on a branch, is a crow - or raven, you're not entirely certain which.
