A unsuitable job

Unknowingly you had followed Hiyori back to their place. You replayed what had happened before.

"Hiyori take her to Kofuku's place later", Yato shouted as he began to walk away.

"5 yen, 5 yen, 5 yen~" He pounced away happily with Yukine following. You watched them till they disappeared around the gate.

"He probably found a job", Hiyori said

"5 yen isn't a very high salary..." you said. Hiyori gave a petty laugh

"It's high for a god like him", she reponded.

'God? why are they always calling Yato a god?'

"Anyways (y/n), can you meet me at the gates after school, I'm going to take you somewhere", Hiyori continued. She gave a small smile and then headed back to class. You did the same.

You've been told to never talk to strangers or follow but you couldn't help it. I mean one of them was your senior and another was a cute,innocent boy. What could they possibly do to you. As for Yato, he is 'probably' harmless.

"We've arrived", Hiyori said as turned to face you. You looked behind her too see a old, rundown milk bar.

"Why are we here?" you questioned.

"You'll find out soon".

You both walk through into the backyard. Your hand held Hiyori's sleeve lightly.

'Aren't we trespassing right now...'

"Hey Everyone!" You looked up to see Hiyori waving to two figures sitting inside the traditional Japanese house.

"Good afternoon Kofuku and Daifoku", Hiyori said with bow. You nodded awkwardly, hiding behind Hiyori. It wasn't like you were shy or anything. It was just meeting new people wasn't your thing.

"Afternoon Hiyorin~". A cute pink haired girl jumped out and hugged Hiyori. Hiyori gasped for air as the girl squeezed harder.

"How are you Kofuku?"", Hiyori choked as she tried to loosen Kofuku's grip.

"Please, milady, don't suffocate Hiyori", the man inside sighed. Compared to Kofuku he was twice as big as her.

'My lady? Are they married, Kofuku looks like shes still in highschool though...Lolicon?'

The brown haired girl grabbed you by the shoulder. She twisted you around to face everyone.

"This is (Y/n)", she introduced brightly.

"Holla~, (Y/n)-chan! I'm Kofuku, that big scary man is Daikoku", Kofuku said with a smile. She grabbed your hands and swung them side to side happily.

"Hello...", you greeted back.

"Come inside," Daikoku said as he poured two extra cups of tea. You placed your black shoes onto the concrete steps and then seated next to Hiyori. You all sipped your tea in silence. You sighed to yourself happily.

'Ahhh...so quiet and peaceful, hope it won't end too soon'

Your eyes traced around the house when suddenly Yato burst into the room. You turned to stare at him, shocked and surprised at the sudden noise.

'Okay, that didn't last long...'

"Hiyori-chan~", Yato grabbed Hiyori's hands. He stared into her with his shining puppy eyes.

"I found this job and my client needs a girl to help, I asked Yukine to dress up as one but didn't want to, sooo can you help...please Hiyori-chan" he asked pleadingly. Yukine walked inside sighing, he bowed as a greeting to everyone and then proceeded to sit next to you.

"Can you explain what I am suppose to do", Hiyori asked. Yato froze, he looked over at Yukine.

"You tell her" Yukine said as he turned away. He poured himself a cup of tea.

"Um...so this client of mine needs a... 'temporary' girlfriend, so can you be that 'temporary' girlfriend?" Yato explained.

"No".

"Please, it's the first job I've got this month and it's almost the end of the month too" he continued to persuade.

"No way, never never never!", she replied sternly.

"I can do it!" Kofuku shouted. She shot up.

"Kofuku, you are going to stay here", Yato replied. Everyone nodded agreeing-ly.

"But I want to! It sounds like fun, Yato-chan is keeping all the fun for himself!" she whined. Everyone looked at each other, worried. You sat there confused at what they were on about.

"Milady, you are not very suitable for this, also I'll never let you do something like this", Daifuko said as he pushed the whining girl to sit down.

"I want to go, I want to!" she continued.

"Kofuku, maybe next time?" Hiyori said with a kind smile.

"You are going to cause problems, I don't want you to ruin some ones life just because you wanted to have some fun", Daifoku said.

"Why don't you all allow Kofuku if she wants to so much", you said, you tilted your head in confusion. Everyone turned to look at you. Yato smiled devilishly.

"(y/n)... you are perfect!", he beamed.

"Noo! We just met her and everything", Yukine said. You turned to face him. Your eyes meet, he immediately looked away.

"(y/n) want to make a deal?" Yato suggested. You didn't reply, so he continued.

"You'll help my client and then I'll help you with one thing".

"I'm sorry but I don't want to", you responded. He pointed to the bandages around your eye. You flinched a little. You touched your bandages then reluctantly nodded.

"Okay then...".
