Wake me up, when September ends...

Summer has come and passed. The Innocent can never last. Wake me up when September ends.
Born in September. Beautiful baby. Mother's miracle child. Father's prodigy. Loved by everyone, she was told. Grew up in a shelter. A cage protecting her from...everything. She doesn't mind. Everyone smiles. Everyone laughs. Paradise.
Summers have come and passed, 7 years has gone so fast...
Best friend dies in a car crash. Not sure how to handle it. I don't understand. Therapist has fairies in her garden. I didn't know they still existed...
Here comes the rain again, falling from the stars. Drenched in my pain again, becoming who we are.
Thrown into the real world at 13. Loving it. Excitement. New friends. New experiences. Amongst these are pain and disappointments. Learn to live with it. Everyone else can. Must never pity yourself. Never stop smiling. People frown at your pain. It is wrong to think only of yourself.
Summers have come and passed, 3 years has gone so fast...
Crying yourself to sleep. Don't let anyone else see. It is wrong to pity yourself. It is wrong to think only of yourself. Hide it from everyone. Handle it alone, I am strong enough. Pray to God to take it away. Don't let anyone else see. Don't let anyone else see...
Dreams of becoming a writer. Study Literature. Never leave the house, must study. Must write. Type your fears away. Type the sadness away. It is wrong to think only of yourself. Must protect them. They come first. They need me.
Summers have come and passed, 10 years has gone so fast...
26th birthday. Friends everywhere. Family laughing. Gifts. Drinks. Best wishes for the future. Apologize for old trespasses. Forgiveness. Peace of mind. Close the door. Clean the mess. Smile. Fetch the old rope. Tie it to the ceiling. Around your neck. Tight. Must not think of others. It is wrong to never think only of yourself. I was wrong. Kick the chair away. Hang.
As my memory rests, but never forgets what I lost...Wake me up when September ends.
