“Come on guys, let's get in there,” Holly shouted as she walked into the main club area. The loud music bounced around the room as it vibrated the floor with the bass. The club seemed enormous, different colour lights leaped off the wall as the people danced under them. I looked around as my eyes zoned into a set of stairs; it seemed like an area for the VIP people with the posh red curtains and cream sofas with waiters serving people. I looked away from the VIP section and looked around the place while Leah dragged me to the bar. As soon as we got to the bar, Sally ordered our drinks. I picked up my Vodka Orange and made my way to the booth I saw was empty. I went in with the girls following behind me.
I sat down and looked at the girls with a wide grin, “I cannot believe it we are here,” I shouted loudly so the girls could hear me over the loud music.
“Let's make most of it,” grinned Leah.
“I'm totally getting wasted,” I said as I held up my glass.
“Same here,” I assumed the girls shouted over the loud music as they clinked their glasses with mine.

After few drinks, I started to feel the effect of the drinks on me. I swayed my hips to the music as I danced with the girls, Holly was currently making out with the bodyguard she was talking to previously. So that left me, Leah and Sally dancing away. After sometime I started to feel thirsty, “I'm off to get a drink,” I shouted at the girls so they could hear me. I pushed past people as I made my way to the bar; as I got near it, I swayed a bit as I walked, causing me to bump into someone. I giggled, “I'm sorry,” as I continued to walk. When I got to the bar, I leaned on the counter to keep my balance so I wouldn’t bump into someone.
“You should be careful,” I heard someone say in my ear as I felt their breath brush against my ear, which caused me to respond by shivering. I looked back to see blue eyes staring back at me. I looked at the strangers face to see an amused grin on his face; I narrowed my eyes at him, “Thanks for the tip.”
“You're welcome,” he chuckled which caused goose bumps to rise on my arms.
“Have I seen you somewhere?” I slurred.
“Have you?” he asked, amused at my question.
“Yes,” I answered back as I tried to think of where I had seen him, but due to the amount of drinks I had, it caused my thinking process to slow down, which frustrated me.
“I wonder where?” he asked as he scratched his chin, pretending to think.
I rolled my eyes, “Whatever.”
I turned around, trying to get the attention of the bartender while I tried to focus on my task; I could feel the stranger’s tense gaze on me which caused me to feel nervous, knowing he was right behind me. I could feel the heat from his body against mine which made me unconsciously move closer to him so I could feel him against me.
“What would you like?” asked the bartender once when he noticed me.
Before I could answer, “She would like some water.”
The bartender smirked at me before walking off to get me some water. I turned around to face the handsome stranger, “Did I say I wanted water?” I asked annoyed.
“No, but you should have some.”
“Why?” I asked gritting me teeth.
“You can't walk in a straight line and you’re slurring while you talk. I'm sure those two signs are good enough for someone to stop drinking for the night. Don't you think?”
“I c-can walk in a straight line,” I stated as I stuck my chest out and held my head high.
“Fine, let's see.” He said as he waved his hands towards the empty space for me to walk on.
“Fine,” I retorted back. How dare he orders water for me, it’s supposed be a night where I can unwind but no, some stranger had to come and order water for me. But to top it off, he is now asking me to walk in a straight line, me and straight line... pfft... this is too easy. I will show him.
I looked at him; all I could see was an amused grin on his face as he waited for me to start walking. I took a few steps, which made me sway a bit to the right as I tried to walk straight. I could hear a chuckle behind me. I stopped and breathed in as I tried again, but I made the same mistake which caused the stranger to roar in laughter. I turned around annoyed, “It's these shoes,” I said pointing at my lovely pair of heels. I took them off and threw them on the floor next to the stranger. He raised one of his eyebrows as he looked at me laughing. I shook my head to relax and try to focus on the task at hand, but even without my heels, I failed again. Oh great, he is going to gloat about how right he was. I made my way to the stranger; as soon as I was in reach, he held a glass of water in front of me.
“Here you go, you just proved it how much you need this.” I took the glass from his hand reluctantly and took a large swig of the drink. I bent down to pick up my shoes and started to walk off, when I felt a hand grip my arm, I turned around to see the stranger with a confused expression on his face, “Where are you going?”
“Um, to my friends,” I frowned at his question.
“Okay,” he reluctantly let go of my arm. “Here take this,” he said as he drew out a card from his jacket and held it out to me. I instantly knew it was his card with his name and number.
I shook my head, “If I am destined to see you again, I will, if not goodbye.” I said as I started to walk but stopped and turned around, “Thanks for the water.” I raised my glass before I started to walk towards the crowded floor of people as I left the handsome stranger behind.
