The Spirit Within

Disney, Dates and Apples! OH MY!!

I wake up to my beaming alarm on my phone, as usual, and groan. I honestly don't want to go to school today. It's just... So much work!

I stretch my arm out to grab my phone.
"It's so, ugh, far!" I mumble. Soon enough I find myself falling on the floor. "Well, that happened."

I stand up and brush imaginary dust off my pants. Then I turn the alarm off my phone. Finally the noise stopped! I check the time while I'm at it. It's 7:00.

I then walk over to my closet and pick out some cloths. Hmm. What to wear, what to wear? Oh! I know!

I put on my blue jeans and my red flannel, not without topping it off with my grey beanie. Before I leave my room I check myself out in The mirror.

"Yep, looking sexy AF Serena," I say sarcastically under my breath."Sexy. A. F."

I then skip out of my room, down the stairs and into the kitchen. My dad looks up at me from his news paper when I enter the kitchen.

"What's got you so happy this morning?" He says raising an eyebrow.

I spin around on my heals to face him. "Well father, if you must know, I am so very happy today because, today I actually got some sleep!" I say ever so excitedly for actually getting some sleep.

My dad laughs a little in response. "Oh yeah, i actually didn't have to get up at like 5:00 in the morning and drive to the cemetery! Again!" He says, now getting my point.

I give him a flash of a smile before I turn around to grab an apple. Then I go and sit down across from him. Soon enough I finish my apple and shoot it into the trash can like a basketball and sadly miss it. And being the good person I am I go pick it up and drop it into the trashcan.  I look over to my dad who is pretty much just laughing at me. 

"What the hell are you laughing at?" I say with my arms crossed.

"You!" He says as if it was so obvious. "And watch your language!"

I roll my eyes. "Isn't it time to go anyways?"

"Yeah. Come on and get your stuff ready." 

I walk over to the front door and put on my black Converses. Grabbing my bag, I flip it onto my shoulder. Now I just stand there and wait for my dad to finish putting on his shoes.

Finally we get into the car and start driving to school.

When I get out of the car and start walking into school I hear that whisper again, but this time it's a little more clearer but not clear enough. Oh and here comes that shiver! I feel that tingly feeling go up my spine again.

But this time I feel a little weak in my legs and start to fall when, instead of hitting the hard ground, I get caught by someone. I look up to see those bright blue eyes. The same bright blue eyes I saw last night. It was Jole.

"Hey. You ok there Bambi?" He says softly. I chuckle as I stand up, slowly getting out of his grasp. 

"Yeah, I'm fine. What about you there Thumper?" I say, playfully nudging his arm with my elbow. 

We both start laughing at this point. It's kinda cute how he knows some of his Disney characters.

We stare at each other for a bit. Looking deep into each other's eyes, still letting out little bits of laughter. I bite my lip a little.

It's been about a week since we've first noticed each other and we've been hanging out a lot after that. In fact, we just hung out the other day and... It was pretty fun!!

"So..." Jole says trying to break the silence.

"Tuesday was fun, hanging out as friends and stuff," I say starting out a conversation. 

"Yeah. Friends." He says slowly. "Look, Serena, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out sometime, again. Maybe this time a little more then friends?"

My eyes widen. "You mean, like a date?" I reply anxiously.

"Yeah, sure, like a date," Jole says with that Joley smile.

I chuckle. "Ok, I'm free tomorrow."

He smiles back. "I'll pick you up at 7:00"

We soon get interrupted by the bell. People start to rush to there classes as they bump into us one bye one.

"I'll see you later!" I say a little louder over the sound of people.

"Ok!" He replies waving at me.

Soon enough I'm walking to class. Today I have science first. Ugh science when will we ever use this in life! It's not like I want to be some smarty smart Doctor!

I walk into the science lab and stand at the desky thingys with all of the sciencey explosion stuff. As you can tell I'm not really good at science. Taking a seat I sigh.

Finally! Schools done!!!

I start to walk out of the school when I hear a familiar voice call my name.

"Serena! Serena stop!" Jole yells as he rushes up to me. Finally he catches up to me as we stand facing each other.

"What's up?" I say wondering why we are even talking right now.

"I was gonna give you a ride. You know. So you don't have to walk home all by your self." He says all by yourself in a cute little baby voice as he pokes my somewhat chubby cheeks.

"Um... Thanks?" I say taking his hand off my face slowly.

"Okay! Great. Now let's get going!" Jole says pushing me into his truck.

Ugh! Why do all guys have to drive trucks!

So the picture in the chapter is the new cover I made! I just thought I should switch the girl so that it would fit her personality you know? So yeah! That is what I picture Serena to look like. I little more edgier on the clothing but what ever. I LIKE IT!!!
