The next day was Monday, dad didn't make us go, since we had just got here yesterday night, knowing how tired I would be. I got up and looked out my window, hearing some type of commotion, I saw Billy Black, maybe Jacob, Bella and dad. I smiled as I saw that old red truck Jacob said he'd fix for Bella since he was so in love with her. I chuckle to myself in my dark room as I turned away from the window. I crept trough my room and grabbed a mysterious looking hoodie. That's not mine, and Bella doesn't wear hoodies. Maybe it's dad's. I think to myself as I put it back where it was.

I grabbed my hoodie and walked downstairs still in my PJ's. I walked out of the house and laughed. It was Jacob! "Jake?!?" I squeal as his head snapped to my direction. His face dropped. He just looked me up and down and stared for a bit. "No way that's Meagan Swan!" He told dad, and dad nodded. "Yep. That's her." He said. I smiled and waved. He walked over to me and hugged me tightly. "Hi Jake. How have you been?" I ask him. He inhales deeply. "Good, now, great even. I can't believe your back." He said. I grinned as we pulled back. He then looked at my camaro. "That beauty yours?" He asks me. I nod.

"Yep, took me two years to get her and pay her off. That Bella's?" I ask him an nod to the truck. He nodded and looked flustered. "Yeah. I fixed it up." He said, I smiled. "You always said you would." I muttered. He laughed. He remembered. "Actually, May. You both gotta go to school. Go get dressed." Dad ordered. I groaned and slouched. He gives me a stern look and points to the house. I huff and walk back inside to get dressed. I climbed the stairs and attic stairs and started to get dressed. I decided on a pair of black skinny jeans, gray converse and a gray v-neck with my hair curled and my makeup dark, as always.

I grab my bag, keys, sunglasses, and my phone. I walk downstairs and outside. I walk to my car and I heard a small growl. I turn around and take my sunglasses off. I saw Jacob looking at me mad and with lust? Okay, whatever. Dad points at me. "No fights this year, got it?" He asks me. I chuckle and smirk. I put my glasses back on and grin. "You know my rule, if someone hits me first-" I go to say but dad quickly finishes for me. "Hit them back, now go." He said happily and I waved at him. "Bye dad, see you later, I love you." I say and get in my car. I pull out and Bella follows me all the way to school.

When we get to school, we pull in two parking spaces and get out. I put my glasses on and smirk slightly. I purse my lips as I saw a group, of siblings maybe standing by a nice looking Jeep. I then frowned as one glared at me. A blonde girl to be specific. I grab Bella's arm before she can walk away. "You know how dad told me to stay out of fights?" I ask her. She nodded. "I don't think that'll be possible for me." I say wickedly, and we both start walking to the school with our schedules in our hands.

We have like 5 classes together out of the 8. I then got a call as soon as I was being stare down at by the body of high schoolers. I press the answer button and spoke into it. "Hello?" I ask as I walk passed the curious eyes. I hate attention. "Is this Meagan Swan?" A man asks me. I gulp. "Yes. This is she." I say professionally as I then go down a hall where no one is there. I go to my locker. "I'm sorry Miss. Swan, but your mother was in a car accident." The man says. I was shocked. I couldn't cry. "I'm kidding, it's Phil. How's school kid?" He asks me. I growl. "Damnit Phil! I'll freaking kill you if you do that again! And it's been good so far." I say and we carry on a conversation until the bell rings, then I hang up on him.

I go to Biology. I walked in late. But boohoo. I open the door and walk right in. I hand the teacher guy my slip. "Two Swan's. Happen to be related to Bella, Swan?" He asks me. I grunt. "Uh, yeah. Hence the last name Swan. Bella's my twin sister. Can I have my slip back so I can sit down?" I ask him softly. He looks over at me and hands me my slip. He points to a desk. "Hale! Raise your hand." He announces. The same pale blonde boy raised his hand up. He was quite handsome, and maybe attractive. I look down and sit beside him. I look over at Bella and she raises her eyebrow to another pale boy I saw today sitting beside her.

I open my book to whatever page an start reading. "I'm Jasper Hale." I heard a soft, yet firm voice say beside me. I look up and smile. "Hi. I'm Meagan Swan. You can call me Rabbit or May, or just a regular Meagan will do." I say in my southern accent. He smiled back. He had to do this project on his own, I guess. I shut my book. "I'm sorry. I can't let you do all the work." I say and gently take the microscope away from him, but our hands touched. As cliche as it sounded, I felt sparks. His hand was really cold, almost as cold as I felt most of the time. I froze. I stiffened. He stiffened as well. "Sorry." He apologized. I shake my head. "No, it's fine. I'm always cold, I love the cold actually." I mutter as I looked at the specimen.

We wrote the specimen type and got to talking. "Where are you from?" He asks me. I look up and smiled. "It's confusing." I state. He smiled kindly. "I think I can cope." He said and I started. "Texas. Or originally originally from here, my mom took me and Bella as babies to Arizona. I told her when I was 10, I couldn't handle seeing dad every so summer, so she shipped me off to my aunts down in Texas, I spent 5 years down there, and I decided to come back home. But, while I was there, I would go see my dad every chance I got. I stayed in Arizona with Bella for the remainder of 2 years, and I decided to come back home. I'm staying permanently, I missed this place." I say, whispering the last part.

He nodded. "Doesn't sound too complicated. Why don't you like your mother?" He asks me. I frowned. "She would lock me inside dark closets, leaving me there for a few hours. I refuse to be in the light anymore, because of what she had done." I whisper to him, feeling really torn up about it. He frowned. "You like the dark now?" He questions. I smiled and nodded. "As crazy as it sounds, yes. I can see through the dark, like, I can see clearly. The light just kinda blinds me, sometimes." I say and keep working. We talked up until the bell. "I'll see you later?" I offer. He smiled. "Yes." He said and we split ways.
