Everyone has had someone.
And you might be thinking you've never had someone, but I know better.
We've all had someone because every single one of us thinks back to a person sometimes.
I don't care if they were a lover, a friend, a parent, a stranger.
What I'm saying is, maybe they walked away. Maybe you did.
Maybe they hurt you. Or maybe you hurt them.
Does it matter?
Yes, yes it does. Because, you see, they taught you something.
To be a better person? Yes.
You might scoff at that. You might scoff at the thought of that person making you better. Maybe they didn't make you kinder, or more trusting; maybe they made you strong.
Maybe they gave you a hundred issues - but dammit - you remember that person for a reason.
They gave you something. They made you something.
Each person you have a profound impact on holds part of your legacy.
And I've left enough trails of bad thoughts and broken hearts to know that you don't want your legacy to have been making people 'stronger'.
You want to have made them better.
You don't get to fix people, don't mistake me for being naive.
