I looked up at the moon from my bedroom skylight, glimmering like a precious orb amongst the glittering stars. It alone held such mystery and allure to humble even the most tenacious of men. Although an unimaginable distance away, the luminous sphere seemed almost close enough to touch. I reached up my arm and softly curled my fingers so from my view it looked like I was holding it in my hand.
I sighed, retrieved my hand from its unreachable desire and stood up. I now found it arduous to understand why I had been wasting my precious time; I had - I looked at the clock - four minutes and thirteen seconds left of being fifteen years old, and contemplation wasn't going to make my coming of age arrive any sooner. I knelt down, and pressed my ear to the floor; my family and friends were still celebrating downstairs; for a cause in which the main subject wasn't even present. Little did I then know that these moments were going to be the most missed memories in my lifetime.
