Chapter 5
[Drake Point of View]
Clayton, Trey, and I walked out of the Sonar.
"Clayton, you go back in there, to keep an eye on Adelle. Trey you can just hang around here, but make sure no one sees you. I'll be hunting nearby. Ok."
They both nodded.
Clayton shape shifted into a middle age man, and walked back into the Sonar.
Trey turned his invisibility powers on and disappeared into the night.
I started walking at a human pace to the shadows.
As soon as I camouflaged into the shadows I started running at an inhuman speed to the forests near my house which was on the outskirts of town about a 30 minute drive away.
I let my senses control me, as I crouched down predatorily. Scanning the forest for any sign of movement.
I turn my head to the left hearing the faint tapping of hooves about five minutes away.
I sniffed the air trying to determine the animal.
It was a Moose. Well 2 mooses to be exact.
I immediately sprinted off toward the mooses.
Hunger, thirst, and blood lust, burning within me.
A few seconds later I was in view of the two mooses.
Watching their every move, waiting for the perfect moment to pounce.
They turned their heads toward the other direction to eat some grass. As soon as they did I pounced grabbing the both by their necks and snapping them instantly.
10 minutes later.
I wiped my lips, of all the access blood. Savouring the taste.
I darted back to my house, running into my room and laying down on the bed.
I sighed. I could never get Adelle out of my head.
She's sweet, pretty, caring, and overall amazing.
I wanted her to be mine, ever since the first time I heard her voice.
It was like melting honey.
Ever since then I've been keeping an eye on her, making sure nothing happened to her.
--- Flash Back---
I was bored out of my wits. Clayton and Trey were talking to the two girls they picked up on the way here.
I was never really interested in meeting random girls that threw themselves at you cause your 'hot'. They were usually those fake slutty girls who wear skimpy clothing and to much make-up.
"Hi, I'm Adelle, I'll be your waitress today. What can I get you guys to drink?"
As soon she said hi, I wiped my head around to see the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. She had warm chocolate brown hair to her shoulders, with emerald green eyes. She looked absolutely beautiful, and she wasn't even wearing any make-up.
I couldn't take my eyes off her.
I couldn't even tell her what I wanted to drink so Trey ordered for me.
As she walked away I still held my gaze on her.
As soon as we left the restaurant I told Clayton and Trey to take my car home with them, while I stayed close to The Sonar waiting for Adelle to come out.
I followed her home, staying hidden in the shadows and or in the trees.
I waited outside her window on a nearby tree, until she fell asleep.
As soon as she did I slipped through her window. (Which luckily was open.) She looked so beautiful, but when I glanced to her right cheek I saw a hand print sized bruise.
It angered me so much to know her father abused her.
I felt like just ripping him to shreds, right there and then.
I could feel my eyes turning red, just at the thought.
But I shook my head, she would be sad if I killed her dad. I couldn't stand the thought of making her cry.
I could feel my eyes turning back to their original blue color.
I gave her a quick kiss on the forehead and jumped out of her window.
---Flash Back Over---
I shook my head, coming back from my dreaming faze.
I glanced over to the clock to see it was 5 minutes past 12am.
Crap Adelle got off work 5 minutes ago.
'Drake, we can't find Adelle.'
I heard Clayton and Trey think faintly.
I immediately leaped off my bed and darted out full speed to the front door of the Sonar.
Clayton, and Trey were standing there.
"What the hell do you mean you can't find her!" I yelled harshly.
They flinched at my tone.
I turned my head in the direction she lived in. And I could faintly pick up her scent.
I started running full speed following her scent closely.
I guess being a tracker has its positives.
Clayton and Trey followed close behind.
Instead of leading me to her house, her scent lead me to the forest.
I started panicking.
You never know what creature could be lurking in there. Especially at night.
Then suddenly a new scent hit me.
It was a vampire's scent.
I growled.
I ran even faster.
If he hurt her, or even touched her he's a dead man.
I neared the meadow.
I glanced to my left to see Adelle backing away from the vampire.
It barred its fangs. Then it lunged toward her.
But before he could touch her, I rammed into the other vampire.
Throwing him to the other side of the meadow.
I brought Adelle into my arms, telling her she was safe. She suddenly burst into tears, hugging me closer to her.
It felt so good to have her in my arms. But it saddened my to see her cry.
Then I turned around to see the vampire responsible for making her cry.
I turned slightly to face the vampire still holding Adelle in my arms.
I growled menacingly.
Clayton and Trey on either side of me, barring their fangs toward the vampire.
" You will pay for trying to kill her." I growled menacingly.
He laughed.
What a cocky bastard.
I glanced toward Clayton and Trey nodding, to let them know to kill this cocky bastard.
They nodded in understanding.
I glared at the vampire and picked up Adelle Bridal style, before darting back toward her house.
I held her tightly to my chest, the whole way back to her house.
I swiftly jumped through her window, and placed her gently on her bed.
As soon as her head touched her pillows she was out cold.
"Good night my love." I whispered soothingly. While placing a light kiss on her forehead, before jumping out her window.
