Chapter 13

Jades POV

It's the morning after my shift and I feel so relaxed. It's a Sunday and that means school tomorrow. Ugh. I'm not going to let that ruin my Sunday. I didn't even realize Kian sleeping next to me. He had his arm wrapped around my waist. I tried to get out of his grip but he just held tighter. With my new strength I ripped out of his grip. He growled then rolled over.

I quickly hopped into the shower. As soon as I got out Kian was still sleeping. I went to wake him up. "Kian wake up." I said shaking him. He just groaned. I decided to wake him up the easy way. "Kian, babe wake up." I said against his lips. "I'm up."

"Good, lets go get something to eat." I said trying to get him off the bed before he goes back to bed. We decided just to have some cereal. When I was almost done with my cereal, I hear Carsen's voice in my head. 'Meeting at the pack house now' He didnt sound to happy. "Kian I got to go." I said. He nodded them gave me a peck before I left.

I shifted when I got in the forest. It felt good to be in wolf form again. I ran for about 20 minutes when I got to the pack house. I quickly shifted back then put on a shirt and shorts I brought. I went in to find about 50 wolfs in the living room. Alpha Carsen was standing on a chair. "Good our beta is finally here." He said pointing to me.

"Beta?" I ask confused. "Yes you are our beta." When did this happen. "Let's get started. We are going to go and attack the Red Dawn pack tonight and take what is rightfully ours." His voice echoed through the house. "What! No I can't. I won't." I said in a stern voice.

Everybody stopped and stared at me. Carsen stepped forward. "Yes you can and you will." He used his Alpha tone. I nodded not being able to resist his command. After another 10 minutes we were all dismissed.

I quickly shifted not caring about my clothes. I had to worn Kian. Just as I was arriving at my house Alpha Carsen mind linked me. 'Tell anyone and your sister dies.'

--Kians POV--

Jade has been really quiet since she came back from the meeting. "You ok babe?" I asked. "Yeah." She said with a fake smile. 'Rogues are attacking ' Alpha Cody mind linked me. I looked at Jade and she looked like she knew what was going on. I jumped off the couch. "Wait! Kian don't go stay here and be safe." She said. "Why didnt you tell me?" I yelled getting angry. "I have orders." Is all she said. "Yeah so do I."

"Kian please stay." She said with a tear falling down her cheek. "I'm sorry Jade, my pack needs me." With that I left her house. I shifted and ran through the woods. I came to a clearing and saw Cody, Connor, Jc, Jared, and more members of the pack fighting 40 rogues. I saw a wolf on top of Jc and tackled him down and tore out his throat. After awhile I felt the presents of Jade. I turn around to see her on top of Ashley, Connors mate. I ran and hit her off Ashley.

She looked at me with a weird look before tackling me to the ground. 'I told you to stay home.' She said through mind link. 'I'm not going to let any of my pack members get hurt.' I got out of her grip and pinned her to the ground. 'Go home Jade.' She pushed me off then stood up facing me. 'I'm the beta of the pack and I won't let them down even if it means killing someone in this pack'.

'Even me.' I ask through mind link. She looked away. 'Even you.' and with that she ran off.

--Jades POV--

I don't know what came over me. I can't believe I said that to Kian. I didn't mean it. Did I? I ran till I reached my house. I shifted and ran into my house. I ran upstairs and hopped into bed. Kelli is probably at Harry's. Since I saw him at the fight Kelli should be there alone. I walked over and into the house. I saw Kelli but she wasn't alone. Harry and Kian were with her. They all stared at me. My eyes met with Kians.

I turned away and walked to Kelli. "We need to talk." I whispered into her ear. "You know we can hear you." Harry said. Oh that's right wolf hearing. I dragged her over to our house. "What is it?" She asked. "I kind of told Kian that I would kill him if he messed with my pack and I didn't even think about it. It's like I wanted to hurt him. I don't know what to do."

"You better fix things." She said and walked back to Harry's. Good talk sis.
