I take a deep breath as I get out of my blue Ford escape and start to walk up to the house of my new job being a nanny for a pair of twins. I take one last deep breath before I knock on the door to the huge house. Right after I knock, I hear a woman's voice say, "One second." Right after that a woman with light brown hair and a black dress came to the door and said,
"Hello, you must be Samantha, I'm Julie Henderson."
"Yes I am, it's nice to meet you," I said with the biggest smile and put my hand out for her to shake.
"It's nice to meet you to," she said with a smile and shakes the hand I put out.
"Please, Please, come in,"Julie says as she opens the door all the way and steps to the side so I can come inside of the house.
"Thank you", I say as I step inside of the house.
"Kids, come down here and meet your nanny!" Julie yells at from the bottom of the stairs. Right away you here giggling and foot steps running down the stairs. A girl that looks to be about five years old with the same light brown shade of hair as her mother, jumps to the last to step and shouts "I beat you again Max" I giggle a little remembering always racing my friends down the stairs to see who will get to the bottom first. Then a boy that I assume is Max jumps down the last few steps with an angry look on his face. All of the sudden Max shouts,"Nicole, you cheated!" Then Nicole retorts, " No I didn't you're just to slow Max!". "Alright stop your bickering you two before you scare poor Samantha off." Julie turns and looks at me," I'm sorry the twins yelling at each other is not a good first impression."
"Don't worry, Mrs. Henderson, it's alright," I said with a reassuring smile.
"Oh, Dear please call me Julie. Mrs. Henderson makes me sound old," Julie informed me. I smile and nodded my head. Then Julie looked at the kids and said, "Samantha, this is Nicole and Maximus." I got down on my knees and look at Nicole and Maximus. Nicole was wearing a shirt with the characters from the Disney movie Tangled with a pair of blue jeans and Max was wearing a shirt with the charters from the Disney movie Toy Story with a pair of cargo shorts. they both looked at me with toothy grins and ran up and gave me a hug that I was not expecting. After I registered what just happened, I laughed a bit and gave them a hug back. When we were done with the random hug attack I got off of my knees and saw Julie looking at me with a smile then she said,
" I am sorry that I can't stay any longer and get to know you but, I have to leave for work."
"Don't worry Mrs.Hen- um....I mean Julie, I'm sure that we will get a chance to talk later."
"Alright, well, I will see you later tonight," then she turns to the kids and leans down and gives them a kiss on their heads," Alright, you two be good for Samantha. Oh, I almost forgot Samantha,their older brother Christian is in his room so if you need anything just go and get him." I nod my head to show her that I understand all of the information I just got.
After Julie left the house, it was just me and the twins left in the kitchen. "So do you guys want to play a board game?" After I ask that all that I hear is, "YEAH! we're playing Monopoly!" Nicole and Max yell at the same time. I laugh a bit as they run off to get the game. After they came back we went into the family room and sat on the floor then start our game.
As we were putting away the game, I hear someone's stomach grumble and that tells me that it's time to make something to eat for dinner."Alright, who's hungry!"Both of the kids yell, "ME!" I smile at their response and say, " What do you guys want to eat?", "Pizza!" Max shouts. I look over at Nicole and she gives me a nod of approval that was saying that pizza was fine."Alright, pizza it is." I say as I walk into the kitchen to make the pizza.
After I put the pizza in the oven to cook I started to look for plates. As I'm looking through a cabinet, I heard someone say."What are you looking, sweetheart."I look away from the cabinet and saw a very tall and hansom figure with black hair and the brightest blue eyes standing in the doorway."Um...... the plates." I say looking back at the cabinets to find the plates and as I stand on my tippy toes and continue looking for the plates and wondering who that boy in the door way could be. I don't remember Julie saying someone was going to visit. It took me a minute then I realized that the hansom boy in the door way must be Christian. As i'm looking through the cabinet and thinking about what I had for homework from all of my collage classes when I feel someone come up behind me and reach into the cabinet above me. I would have never looked there because I'm to short to reach. "Here you go, sweetheart."He smiles at me and hands me four plates.
" Thanks, I doubt that I would have been able to reach that far back." I laugh a bit and so does Christian."It was my pleasure."he gives me another smile and then I walk to the table and put all four plates down at each spot on the table and then walk back to the stove and grab the tray with the freshly cooked pizza on it and bring it to the table, but the blue eyed devil beat me to it. I walked over to a drawer hopeing that I would find a pizza cutter and crossed my fingers that I would pick the right drawer. To my surprise, I had picked the right drawer. When I walked back to the table i started to cut the pizza into eight pieces. "Nicole and Max, come in here the pizza is ready!" With those words the kids came running into the kitchen. I put a pieces of pizza onto Nicole's and Max's plate. Before i could continue passing out pizza, Max said," Sam, can I please have a drink?" I nodded my head then said," what do you want to drink Max?" After a minute of thinking he said," Apple juice, please." I smiled and nodded my head, then I asked Nicole if she would like something to drink she nodded her head and told me that she just wanted some water. Right before I left, I saw Christian walk to the table and put some pizza on his plate. After I got the drinks I walked back to the table and I saw Christian sitting there. I gave the kids their drinks and then sat back down. " So, Sam do you have any brothers or sisters?" Nicole asked me. " Nope, it's just me and my parents." To be honest I really wanted younger siblings but my parents never really treated me the best so I am glad that I never had any siblings.
After we finished eating, I told the twins that they needed to go upstairs and get ready for bed. They did as I asked and went upstairs without any trouble. Right after they went upstairs I got a call from Julie.
" Hello?" I said into the phone.
"Hey Samantha, it's Julie. I was calling to tell you that I won't be home till later. So if it isn't that much trouble, could stay later?"
" It's no trouble at all."
" Thank you Samantha, I really appreciate it."
" Any time."
" Thank you again. I'll see you later."
"Okay talk to you later."
After I got off of the phone I went upstairs to check on Nicole and Max. When I went upstairs the kids were in bed already so I read them a story and when I was done reading I told them goodnight and shout off their lights. When I went back down stairs, Christian was gone and so I decided to go and get my backpack out of my car and start my homework. As I was walking out to my car I remember that I have a paper to type and I might as well start now.
