I cried for what felt like the whole afternoon, I stopped like 5 minutes ago when someone knocked on my door, I didn't answer it.

"Mackenzie, it's me Jayden. Can I come in?" Jayden asked behind my closed door. I walked to the door, opened it and went back to my bed. Jayden walked in and looked at me, he came over and sat down next to me.

"I came to tell you dinner's ready but I can bring some over if you would like that better," he said looking guilty. Here I was blaiming a guy that has been nothing but good to me except for the kidnapping for something that is the headmistress and my parents fault.

"I think I would feel better if I ate here," I said to him.

"Okay, I'll go to the kitchen go grab you a plate and bring it here." He stood up and walked to the door.

"Jayden?" He turned around.

"Yeah?"

"Will you eat with me here?" I asked blushing.

"I would love to eat here with you but are you sure you want me here?" he asked.

"Yeah I'm pretty sure," I said to him with a smile, he smiled back and walked out of my room. Jayden came back with two plates filled with food and it smelled great.

"That smells really good," I said to Jayden.

"Yeah she sure knows how to cook."

"Who makes dinner around here?"

"That would be miss Potter, she makes breakfast and lunch too."

"The school has is own private cook?" I asked surprised.

"Yeah it's a bit much I know but headmistress Kellar insits because she claims good food will help us, right but miss Potter is really nice so I don't mind." After that we fell quiet to eat our food, I was wondering how I could tell Jayden I didn't blaim for all of this but I could't come up with something good enough. We finished dinner and Jayden looked really uncomfortable.

"Jayden I don't blaim you," I blurted out. His eyes found mine and he looked confused.

"Why wouldn't you?" he asked.

"Because now I know that it were my parents and headmistress Keller. You were nothing but nice to me even while kidnapping me. I started fighting you and you didn't fight back like Caleb did. You warned me and comforted me in the car when I didn't deserve it. That's why I don't blaim you." He still looked confused.

"What is it?" I asked.

"I just don't get it, I was the one who took you and you're not mad at me."

"I'm not, I realised that you're a nice guy."

"I didn't want to kidnap you," he blurted out.

"What do you mean?"

"I didn't want to take you and I shouldn't have. When you saw us you were so scared, I really felt for you. And when you started fighting us I couldn't fight back, I didn't want to hurt you. I think they made a mistake this time."

"What would have happened to you if you didn't took me?"

"I would have been punished."

"Punished how?" I asked.

"They would have probably beaten the crap out of me," he said matter of factly.

"What?!" I exclaimed.

"That's just how it works here."

"Then I'm glad you did took me, I couldn't stand it if you would have beaten up because I didn't came with you."

"After seeing you so misrable I would have taken that rather then taking you," he said. I hugged him, he was startled at first but hugged me back eventually.

"Don't worry about me, I'm going to be fine," I said while hugging him. We released each other and looked at each other, Jayden looked away first.

"I should probably get those plates back to the kitchen and you should get some sleep. Tomorrow is the first day of school for you and I can tell you it's going to need alot of energy," Jayden said.

"Okay, thank you for tonight and I'll see you tomorrow."

"Bye," with that he walked out of my room and I took his advice and went to sleep.
