"This is *amm* choco chip *amm* cookie dough ice cream is the best I *amm* hab eber had in my emtire life!" Roxie had just taken me to the best ice cream place on campus.

"Yup," she said popping the p, "that's why they call it Olympian's Best."

"What did you get?"

"Pistachio."

"Eww, Can I try?"

"No!"

"Please!"

"Ugh! Fine!" I took my spoon and got a large scoop of her ice cream, stuck it in my mouth, and for a good 10 seconds made faces then I finally swallowed.

"That was officially the nastiest tasting ice cream in the world!!" I exclaimed getting up from my seat at the table in the school courtyard. Heads turned our way to see what the commotion was.

"Was it really that bad?!" Roxie said somewhat shocked that her favorite ice cream had been dissed.

"Nope, it was actually okay." I said sitting back down.

"Then why did you yell that you hated it?!"

"Cause I was bored and I wanted too."

"You are so weird Emmy!"

"Thank you, RoRo."

Our conversations were starting to become more comfortable. After half an hour of eating ice cream together we had gotten closer then most friends usually do in 20 years and we had only been acquainted for at least 2 hours.

"Who's hotter, Chase Crawford, Zac Efron, or Robert Pattinson?" Roxie asked, finishing the last of her ice cream.

"Well that's stupid, it's obviously Orlando Bloom!" I answered.

"He's not in the choices so choose one!"

"But none of them are as hot as Orlando!"

"So!"

"Emmy's right, Orlando is SO much hotter then those other wannabes!" said an unfamiliar voice. I looked to see who the voice belonged to and found myself looking at a beautiful dark-skinned 16 year old.

"Hey Emmy, I'm G, your new roommate, and welcome to Hell, California!" G was wearing a green shirt that said 'I <3 boys who recycle' with dark jeans and green and white converse. Her black hair was a bit wavy and went up to her shoulders and her smile lit up her chocolate brown eyes.

"Hahahaha, why do guys call it 'Hell', California is that like a joke or something?" I was smiling really goofy.

"Nope, this place is really called Hell, California." Roxy informed me with a thoughtful look on her face. "It used to be a wasteland cause' it was like super duper hot and the only inhabitants was a man named Charles Carr, along with his wife and 10 year old child. Apparently after some construction thing for a highway in the early 60s, Carr's family left and it officially became an abandoned city again."

"About 15 years ago, the headmaster of Olympian, Professor Eunomia, decided that Hell would be a perfect place to put the school and got some contractors to make it a suitable learning environment and built this amazing place in only 2 years, then that fall, school came into session." Roxy said very smart-like.

"How do you know that?" G asked raising an eyebrow.

"I read the school brochure." Roxie replied.

I snorted, "Nerd, that thing was huge."

"To the max. I've been her since the beginning of summer and still don't know that. You need to get out more often, hun." G said knowingly, nodding her head.

"Seriously, you have to get you a fake- Wait, what!! You've been here since the beginning of summer! I just got my acceptance letter 3 weeks ago!" I was totally freaking out.

"Calm down, I only came early since my sister, Nyx, is a 2nd year here and since my mom is close friends with some of the teachers of course I got accepted early. Mother dear insisted that I come earlier then everyone else to get a head start, which I think is pretty stupid." She said rolling her eyes in annoyance (not at me, her mom). "My mom and Roxie's mom were old friends so when her mom heard that I was to be going to the school early, she insisted that Roxie come early too and sent her off A.S.A.P. And here we are now." G finished off smiling unhappily of being sent off.

Roxie shivered involuntary, "I may be a nerd but going to school 3 months early is not my thing."

We both nodded. "Can we leave; I think it just got colder and it's going to be dark soon." I said my voice full of alarm.

We all stood up and walked back to the dorm our arms hooked. "So, are you guys ready for school, I can't believe its going to start in only one week!" Roxie said trying to perk up the mood.

"NOOOOOOOOOO!!" I cried out into the sky unhooking my arms and shaking my fists into the sky, my friends laughed. It was twilight, my mother's favorite time of day. I looked at the sky longingly, wishing I could see her face just once more. I gasped, it looked as if the clouds were forming a picture of my mother's face, then the cloud, no wait that's not possible, it was as if the cloud had... winked?

"Hurry up, Emmy!" G yelled at me. I shook my head shaking off the feeling of my mom's presence and ran up to the two listening to their argument of who was hotter, Team Jacob or Team Edward.
