"Kaylyn get up! We have school remember!" Ugh school it had been along since I even heard that word. "Leave without me tasia, I'm not going." I rolled back into my blankets. "What do you mean your not going, it's not just your first day. I'm gonna be all alone. How could you be so careless?!" Tasia stormed out. I didn't bother going after her, I guess I was careless. It kinda takes a lot to be selfless and most people aren't. But right now I couldn't go to school if I wanted to. I needed tasia to see what it was like here. We got kicked out of our last schools. Ya schools, with a s. It wasn't anything bad just school was our playground and the outside world was the hard part school was just one big game. We failed grade 10 and got kicked out. And we decided not to go back for a while.
I decided not to be as lazy that day and actually see California not behind a window. I pulled on a tank top and some ripped jeans and left. Tasia had took the car so I decided to walk around. My phone started buzzing, it was tasia,
T: it's not that bad here, sorry about this morning
K: it's okay:)
T: guess who I saw
K: who?
T: Tyler!!!
I felt my stomach twist and turn. Tyler.... Tyler. I cheated on him, tasia never knew she thought we just drifted apart. I made him cry, and he never cried before. I missed him so much. I wonder what he's like. He must hate me. I didn't want to think about it anymore, i reached into my bag and got some headphones out and listened to music all the way to the beach.
There were a lot more people than I expected there, kids studying, parents, stand for food and stuff. I found a place on a rock and pulled out a book. I don't read but I kinda like the way i feel smart when I pull out a book. I couldn't really focus though after hearing about Tyler I didn't want to ever go back to school. I could do online school, or skip school and join the circus, or have a job you don't need a brain for. I looked a my phone. Tasia had texted a lot but I didn't know what to say, "oh ya by the way Tyler hates me and probably you, because I was a bitch to him and your basically related to me. So sorry." Useless, she was gonna find out but not by me. I started wondering what tasia would be doing right now, probably flirting with some guy. Or getting Dirty looks from other girls. I tried to pay attention to my book but let's face it books are boring as hell, and there was so much to see, and it is prettier than a plain page of paper. I got up and bumped into somthing, nope someone, nope Tyler. "Oh sorry, I'm clumsy I need to go sorry bye!" I scrambled away. He stood there confused looking down for a second and then continued walking. Nope kaylyn you can't like him he hates you there are plenty of hotter guys anyways. I tried reasoning with myself but I'm stupid and like people I can't have. I walked over to a farmers market and picked up berries. There was nowhere else I had to be so I walked back to my apartment.
After lunch tasia walked in to the apartment. "I have so many spares I just came home I'm done for the day." She slouch onto the couch. "You seem happy?". "Yes I am, and you should be too because your coming with me to calebs party tonight!" My eyes rolled back into the brain. "First of all no, I don't know Caleb. He doesn't know me either! How did you even get us invited." She shrugged, then pulled out grapes for her bag. "So Tyler..." She knew, I could tell. "I know." We didn't talk again for a while.
