Smacking his lips Travis tried to argue with me but I wasn't having it. Finding people to work with comfortably wasn't easy for me and the last thing I wanted was my brother screwing up a good thing on my end.

"Hold up." Knuck interjected. "Aren't you and Tima together?"

"We off and on." He shrugged.

"Man!" Kevin stressed. "Just stay the hell away from my sister with your messy ass."

Laughing, I got back in the booth as Kevin left. Getting back into my zone, we got back to work.

Keira

Sitting in my brothers' Jeep, I honestly just wanted to get home and have a hot bath. Not feeling one hundred, I wasn't in the mood to be outside any longer.

"Come on Kev." I mumbled impatiently.

Checking the time on my phone a message came through from Makahi.

Makahi: "Just checking to see if all is well. Haven't heard from you all day." - 2:35pm

Rolling my eyes, I eventually replied letting him know it's been a long day for me thus far. Taking a deep breath, I exhaled and attempted to change my attitude and engage in conversation with him.

: "How has your day been?"- 2:39pm

Makahi: "Started off slow, but I'm just waiting on a consultation now. What are you up too?"- 2:43pm

: "Waiting on my brother, who just came out from the studio so I'm hoping we don't have any stops to make."- 2:45pm

Makahi: "You okay? I'm sensing off energy."- 2:45pm

: "Yeah, just tired."- 2:47pm

"Sorry about that sis." Kevin said as he got behind the steering wheel.

"It's alright." I locked my phone screen and put it in my bag.

"You want to get something to eat?"

"Yeah. Sure." I yawned.

Seeing Kevin glanced at me, he put up his windows and turned on the A/C. Putting my seat back, I made myself comfortable, eventually falling asleep.

*******

"This pizza is really good."

Taking another bite, Kevin and I sat in the family room, both with a whole pizza, like we used to do when we were teens.

"I missed this." I glanced at him.

"Same." He admitted. "But at least we can get back to it now." He nudged me.

"Damian got arrested." I finally revealed.

"What? When? Why?"

"Trafficking." I sighed.

"Keira? What the fuck?"

"I know, I know."

"Keira? Trafficking is a seriously?"

"Not hard drugs but it was drugs nonetheless."

"We're you?"

"No I wasn't selling for him or anything. I'm not stupid."
